Pissed off...my roomate keeps eating my food and leaving the empty containers in place so I still think I have some left.....I have fussed about it and he always says he is sorry.....if he were really sorry wouldn't he stop doing it?

Heh, I used to do that as a kid, pissed my mom off. I told her my brother did it; and I'm stinking to that story!

Seriously...the latest thing he ate was 75% of a box of meal replacement bars that I use when I'm running late and don't have time to make lunch. He's going to be 34 years old in two weeks, I would have thought that he would have grown out of such juvenile behavior by now.....

Thankyou everyone for your concerns. My mother is fine - the scan showed no problems and they think she just has asthma. And she markedly improved.

I'm still very very down. The next few weeks will be tough on me.

my Captain of the kitchen is leaving to transfer. Julie is bakinng him a Blackforest cake as we speak. i liked him and a new captain may change the schedule, or move me back to the building. AAAAAAHHHH! so I am a bit off about that. I don't want to give up Sundays, I love my zoo volunteering. I can switch days, but the crew on Sundays is cool.

Looks like it's going to be a quiet weekend here. Nothing really planned. Starting to save up for a trip to Arizona in October.

and here is my only addendum to all the things your friends (for that is what we are) have been telling you...

18, nearly 19 years ago...when i was 29 years old and had been through THE WORST string of failed relationships you can possibly EVER imagine, i gave up. i just threw up my hands and told the universe or whoever it is that's in charge of RELATIONSHIPS to SHOVE it.

i decided that i just needed to get on with my life and if i was gonna be alone for the rest of it, so the feck be it. i went all BODHISATTVA on the love thang and began to just live my life. and here's the important part, Lore, i stopped looking.

and one night...when i was in a convenience store, out to get (as Gerald likes to tell it) "milk for the duck", a good looking man came up behind me and tapped me on the shoulder and said "Excuse me, is your name Cyndi?" he just walked right out of the blue and tapped me on the shoulder. it was Ger.

my point. stop looking.
