LM - I'm gonna give you some 'tough love'. I am usually (actually NEVER) this direct - but I have seen you up and down and up and down - it is painful to ME!!
Perhaps the problem is YOU. Perhaps you are so suffocating in your affection and love that you smother and kill any woman's interest in you. Perhaps you are too emotionally draining. Lighten up!! Just go out and get laid!! As some have said - if you don't seek for it; you won't smother it!! Chill man!!

*in a 'manly' sorta way!*

Lore, you know that I think along the same lines as Luci, but I also know that this mindset is of no consolation to you. And I would also agree with what Drew said, but I also know that that is no consolation to you.
We've talked about this lots (and you know I have no solution, or words of wisdom or what ever that can "help" you feel better about what has happened--and I actually *understand* why you feel the way you do, and why nothing we say is of consolation to you. I've been there, done that. Not that my circumstances related to what you're going through, but I've certainly felt the same way in other circumstances: you get ticked off because everyone has pearls of wisdom, but as far as you're concerned they're just a load of BS, that no one can truely understand what you're going through, that words of consolation don't make you feel any damn better because *you* know you've already done "everything" and you're still in this position you don't want to be in etc).
But, here's what I think today: you appear to have given up. I think that's sad, but so be it. BUT in my honest opinion, just because you've give up doesn't mean that it's not going to happen. But, in the meantime, I agree with Luci: "Live". Find something else to pour all your emotions into. Find solace in the other things that make you happy, remember that that which does not destroy us only makes us stronger, channel all this emotional energy *into* something rather than thinking "this sucks" and letting it pull you into some black hole of dispair.
I know none of this is going to "help" you; but we're your friends and we care about you so we'll continue to say "useless" things. <grin>
Hugs!

Yeah man, there's nothing more painfull than losing a love. (Well other than losing a loved-one
But look at what you just wrote...she chased you.
Obvisouly you've got something that chicks dig.
I know it's hard; but try to hold onto that...you've got something, perhaps it's your charm, your wit...perhaps it's your extensive knowledge on all things DOnaldson..but if you're hoping for love, you'll find it. THe fact that this chick was chasing you is proof.

(Sorry for the doublepost) Lore - I am completely unqualified to offer ANY sort of relationship advice so I won't even try.
It sounds to me like she used you, and you deserve better. I hope you find that person, but in the meantime, we're here for you.
If you ever want to talk you have my email. (No advice - I meant that, but I'm a good listener.)
(And I'll even check it - haven't in a week!
)

Happy Birthday Lucimay!! (dang, the stupid emoticon popups aren't working for me...*pretends there's a bunch of smileys holding balloons*)
Lore, just don't do what I did...go on a three-day starve & wanna die crying jag. Cathartic, sure, but anorexia is no fun. Depression is no fun. Do a bungy jump instead. That IS fun.
you need to just regroup and have some crazy one-night stands...

Lore, I don't know what you said, or why you edited it, but all this angst about love is nothing new here. In fact, if anything should be termed "BS", it's your foolish notion that you're the only one who's ever travelled this road. We all have gone through it. Think about it; up to the point of success (which I had defined as marriage), everything is failure. I had tons of failures, and only one success. Funny thing about success is once you've attained your goal, that's when you really have to start working working at the relationship. My life had so much more responsibility and stress once I got married. In the end, neither my wife or I could handle it. I still think it was worth it, but notice how I'm not running out and getting married again...

Interesting first day of classes.
Around 11am, I start to see a lot of cop cars and random stuff going on. And then when I log onto the internet, I learn that the campus has closed down, and the police are looking for a murder suspect who had escaped somewhere on campus. The photos of this dude look crazy.
It's going to be a long three years...................-jay

I was just reading about the Virginia tech thing, and the article said there are 25,000 students on that campus. !!! Is that true? I have a hard time imaging a school that big.
I guess I went to some really dinky schools...
