IIRC, you stated that Eztlicoatl was tempted by the Ssathiss, but decided to go with Humans for now. I am sure you will convert a large following of Ssathiss as a secondary race over time, m'l-rd.
I certainly hope so . . . or the Blood Serpent might be annoyed the snakes aren't paying their due respects.

Name: Eztlicoatl
Titles:God of the Sun; the Great Blood Serpent; the One God
Court: None
Major Domain: The Sun
Holy symbol: The Sun, or any snake
Race: Ssathiss
Dogma: All life extends from the Sun, and all life must be shed for the Sun. Without the Sun the bounties of nature do not grow. The light of the Sun sears all falsehood, and casts away the shadows of heresy and animism. There is no truth but that of the Sun God. All hail the Blood Serpent!

Please note, the Great Blood Serpent has indicated that his primary race are now, in fact, the Ssathiss...

May I enquire as to what prompted the change, m'l-rd?

Besides the obvious snake angle, a few enquiries directed at Xar about them piqued my interest severely. They are new to P3, which makes them something of a blank slate for me to do what I will with. There are also other reasons which will remain unsaid.

Absolutely! Same with me and Tree Elders. Xar let's us make lots of decisions about them. You'll all get a first glimpse of them in my Revelation, of course, where I'll briefly discuss how very different they are from other races.

Fair enough.

I do understand the appeal of having a non-biped race.

Have fun with them!

Ive made my choice. I know who is open and knowledgeable enough to comprehend the idea of a world without gods and magic and where only science is needed to exist.

the afterlife is only for those who fear death. The only thing one should fear is fear itself.

Are the Tree Elders related to Nor Yekith's Entka?

Nor Yekith and his new races! I dunno.

:D
You do not hear, and so you cannot be redeemed.

In the name of their ancient pride and humiliation, they had made commitments with no possible outcome except bereavement.

He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.

It doesn't look that way to me. They are peace-lovers. There doesn't seem to be Malice in them. Bhakti's final gift was to Unbind himself, and have his essence flow into the Love Maples that he had created many turns previously, and pumped up with another drp a few turns later. Such an act could have given those trees a bit of an evolutionary jump.

Also, they have a great affinity for forests and jungles, and can command trees. Although we don't yet know what Eiran looks like at the beginning of P3, I suspect the forests and jungles will be closer in nature to Shakari than to the forest Nor Yekith mutated in Nor Pupae, so things with affinity for them are more likely from Bhakti than from Nor Yekith.

(Good thing I have a real life, and don't devote too much time and thought to something as trivial as this crap, eh? :D)

Of course, this is my reasoning. Zephyr actually knows the truth of it all, but he won't tell me. Bastard likes his little secrets. "Oooo, look at me! I'm sooooo smart! Want me to tell you the answer? OK, I will. NOT!" He's a real stick in the mud sometimes.

Possibly, but Nor Yekith engineered the Satyrs. His main plan was to develop species and many of them weren't mutated to have malice. That went against the initial step of his plan.

I'm not desperate for the Tree beings to be evolved from the Entka; just curious.

I know what you mean. And it's certainly possible that they are descended from Entka.

I was extremely surprised when I first heard that Nor Yekith was involved with the creation of the Satyrs. From Turn 21:
The Allfather wrote:A follower of yours in the depths of Shakari has recreated a race of old, the Satyrs, basing himself on legends and tales. The newly created beings turn to your worship.
I immediately sent them a non-drp message:
"Well, you are a surprise!! Welcome!! I am honored that you have chosen to follow the ways of Love!"
And their response:
The Allfather wrote:The satyrs receive your welcome and rejoice, organizing an impromptu revel in the forest.
Surely among Nor Yekith's greatest works!! :D :nanaparty: :letsparty:

I created the Satyrs as I wanted to play a god of them for Pantheon 3. I love satyrs - they have amazing imagery. I'm glad you were pleased.
