Yes, Jenn did indeed get the best photos.
I'm working on it!!! That one's on my phone, so I've gotta send it to the internet from my phone. I'm not sure I can link to that album for people to see the pictures...so from there I'll have to download them to my computer, then upload them to the album....it'll take a while...'specially since I'm lazy! I also need to find my camera cord, so I can get those pictures off my camera...but maybe I'll post a few later today.

These aren't of actual Seafest but Cov and I sat behind a Romulan/Vulcan couple on the plane. I took secret pics at baggage claim. Look at the eyebrows on this guy, they were incredible...

Seareach reporting in from...um...where are we. We were going to go to Needles California but have stopped in Kingsland...Kings something in Arizona.

Today was one of those days where you are reminded that that world is in fact an amazing, spectacular and divinely ...um... words...not enough words or the right words or somethin'...

The Grand Canyon: if you haven't been there you've got to GO THERE! It's another world within this world!

We were accompanied by Lurch in his truck and he showed us all the good places to stop...and Lurch, man, it was an absolute pleasure to meet you! Your mind rocks big time!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, me and Lucimay are off for din-dins. Might check back in later.

...but it's kinda sad to think that in two days I'm leaving here, and flying away from everyone. But me and Luci have been philosophising in the car and ya know, I'm good: I always thought all this was impossible (coming here, doing the things I've done...all that) but now I've done it once I know I can do it again. You guys will never feel so out of my reach ever again...

...and now I think I might sob (happily) to myself somewhere.

..Still in the woods as I was nearing Flagstaff an Eagle crossed my path. In the most general sense an answer was provided to what I was asking my self on the way to meet up with Sea and Lucimay. This was going to be good!!

Fone calls back and forth brought me to the Days Inn as the cool blue chrome sky of dusk descended on the pines of Flagstaff. Within in minutes of their presence I was,,and I think all of us were,,laffing. I know it seemed I had to take a few moments to compose myself before going into the Garcia's Restaurant where I got caught up and we all enjoyed some southwest cooking. Somewhere in there,, it dawned on me , my god.. Sea has Two yik yakkers to deal with. Sea and Luci had both finished off their diners before Iwas half way thru mine..I just like to savor the details of a good meal and these two are delicious.

Back to the Inn and one'of em grew a tail and a set of horns and commenced to kill an alligator with her cat. .... ...... Soon The No Smoking Laws of AZ had us outside where we loaded up on nicotine ,,tooka peek at the Milky Way and brought it all home by midnite or so. Nothing was going to be the same again for me.

The next morning..no , not that one,,THE Next morning I was up early enjoying the colorful sunrise, crows waking up,, and one,,no two hung over Indians mooching for cigarettes and loose change. Luci made it down for some coffee first . The East Gadsen Baptist Choir formed up in their purple T shirts and white shorts splendor,,got their pics taken and commenced to sing to any and all within ear shot,," Why America IS Still The Best Fukin Country In The World" and then " The Stars Spangled Banner" as the crows performed an aerial ballet and the braless Mommas loaded up their Harleys and their Old Men donned their leathers covering up their tattoos. The Blast from the Burlington Northern and Sante Fe slowing down as it entered Flagstaff ended the whole Surreal Scape on a high note.

Pictures in the album take over from here. Time got away from us and OMG gotta go!!..good byes happened in a daze...Yeaa,,anything is possible,,but the three of us made it Good!..Lots of Love to Sea and Luci..

We had suicidal college students , close calls with the cars (hey look!! T&L swerving all over the place in the rear view mirror!!) and a camera that made a mad dash to over the edge of the canyon. Fortunately I talked it back from the ledge and thus,,everyone should see me with the Seafest.

oh yes...there WILL be pics of Lurch and Esmer both!!

i think i will have to digest before posting anything since the grand canyon.
it was...overwhelming.

tonight is the last night for me and thelma.
we're at a travelodge in coalinga, california.
after an amazing drive throught desert, mountains,
rolling hills, and fertile valleys we found ourselves
on I-5 North driving way after dark, which was not
our usual m.o. (my old eyes can't take the hi beams)
but there is NOTHING and i mean NOTHING on I-5
after Bakersfield until Coalinga. whoa.
good thing we tanked up on triple shot vente bucky's
before we left bakersfield.

don't tell sea, but i am sad. i have a hard time saying
goodbye so most usually i don't.
i do like SoS does and emotionally distance.
it was hard leaving denver and cag and carla
behind.
it was even more difficult to leave lurch at the canyon.
it was excruciating to let go of the esmer hug as i wanted
to put him in my pocket and take him back to SF with me.
i am down in the lobby now. there's no wireless so i'm using
the free computer. i didn't want sea to see me cry.
i have no earthly idea how i will say goodbye to her.
i can't imagine how i will get thru the day without her
smokey contralto telling me where to turn and what comes next.
