I like the idea of posting them at the time in the month I visualize they would be occurring. And I also like the idea of requiring them to be posted. Too much secrecy in some of the other games, IMO...

Here's some inspiration for you guys - link.

You don't have to show every step of the chain, and separate pieces can appear totally unrelated. It does all have to be part of one process or lead to one overall goal, though.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I don't know OK Go.
But that is...incredible.
Did that machine really work for the video?
Or was there off camera input?

*off to watch the version Murrin found*

Wow...
According to Wikipedia, while the machine did work uncut three times, the one shown in the video is a cut version of a run through.

Still, to have it run uncut three times.
That's amazing.

And Murrin, thanks for the other video link.
I love marching bands in videos
(think Tusk).

A lot of OK Go's videos are single-take. Those are just the most elaborate ones so far, heh - the first couple were just dance numbers.

See also: WTF?. Single take, with a clever camera trick. There's a making-of on Youtube somewhere.

Now, this is just funny.

If you use the quote button to look at Neera's post, you'll see that "fnord" should be "right." (lol. it did it again) You have to wonder... bug, or a Discordian coded php? I changed the i in the word to make it appear correctly.

Wait a second... April 1st... Avatar... ?

So I don't think it's related to April 1st.

Nah, I'm pretty sure Av changed the word filter to replace all instances of 'right' and 'conservative' with 'fnord.' It's retroactive.

*nodding*
Even the title to Duchess' What fantasy/science fiction book are you reading RIGHT now? is showing up as "right now," and that was created back in 2003.

I haven't figured out the second word yet though...

Oh, never mind, I just did on a preview but decided it would look silly if just left here in the post. ;)

I hope he's going to go back and fix them tomorrow. 'Cause I don't want that fnord all up in my fnord.

(Gawd, it's going to turn into "smurf".)

Now I'm really confused.
Heroes submit turns?
I thought they only submit stories in the Hall of Heroes...

Any word from anyone outstanding, Autarch sir?

Welp, same old story here. I'm suffering a serious lack of motivation, and am plumb out of ideas. I need something to react to.

Edit: Ok, I have something to work with. Will give it a try in the morning.

Menolly, you should switch to a hero. Then you can submit a story every day.
