That's pretty good.

The lower the better with Alexa. Don't feel obliged, but it would be good. If you can associate or use anchor text like the "official Stephen Donaldson forum" or discussion board or whatever, so much the better, but don't force it.

I'll do what I can.

Pretty sure I worked in a link when I did the post on E'fest. Not sure I can slide it by Kat again, but I'll see what I can do.

Woo hoo!!!
A big thanks to those who got us over the line: Sorus, Rob and, of course, Sarge!
I think we have clearly shown that it is the current members who are the future of the Watch, so here're a few things that we can do to sustain the forum:
- - everyone maintain our increased level of activity
- post links back to the Watch every chance you get: Facebook, blogs, other fora etc. This will help our SEO and lift us higher on the search rankings. As has been pointed out upthread we are way down the pages in a Google search for 'Stephen R Donaldson'.
- continue to promote the site and try to get people to read the books and join the forum. We'll need to add new members as we go along so that we can maintain and even increase the level of activity here.
And as Sorus puts it: Post, Post, Post!

5000 posts would be great, Sorus, and realistically I'd be delighted with 3000+ posts next month. (As it has only 30 days so we'd need posting level of around 170 per day. Last month we only needed 130 per day to reach 4000)
For me it would be preferable to put our efforts into promoting the site and attracting new members rather than focusing solely on posting targets. Fun and all as Mallory's is, realistically only the Sarge has the stamina required to reach those kinds of posting heights
Reaching 4000 posts last months was more about showing that the decline of the Watch was at an end. We've emphatically shown that, so now what we want to do is maintain the new level of activity and build on the solid foundation we now know is there.
Quality and quantity this month should get us comfortably over 3000 posts and if we can improve the Watch's search rating and attract some more new members that would be brilliant!

Agreed. But I still think we can do it. Someone just needs to start some utterly captivating new threads.
Someone should get on that.
And hey look, we already have one new user signed up for the month.

We had a busy month, MsMary. Highest level of activity since Sept. 2012 (4000+ posts), highest number of new topics created since Aug. 2012, and a great new member in michaelm!

(in spite of his jokes

)
This month we are looking to maintain the increased level of activity, attract more new members and improve the search ranking of the site on Google. (We're on something like the 3rd page in a search for 'Stephen R. Donaldson'

)
So tell everyone you know, link the Watch regularly on Facebook, in blogs, in comments etc. And of course:

At this rate, we're only 15 months away from a million hellfires. [roughly equal to the number of times TC says it]
