I don't recall if I've ever visited this thread before but I'm a long time member of THOOLAH, first time poster.
I have hated Linden for about 25 years now and I don't care who knows it. SRD has created a character that managed to be just as annoying as TC but with no redeeming qualities that I can discover after several re reads of the Chrons. Linden has driven me nuts since the very first time she became paralyzed with inaction and self doubt and deep feelings of personal betrayal and self loathing and indecisiveness fueled by copious amounts of bad judgment. After reading the Last Chrons. I have to admit I hate her less virulently than before but still find myself praying for the time when she is no longer the central protagonist. Sure she's done a few good things in spite of the fact that I can see very little evidence that she's earned the role that she has been cast in since the Elohim proclaimed her Sun Sage and pretty much spit on Covenant. Gee I wonder if that is the root of my hatred for Linden. That her character threatens to usurp TC's position of the Land's hero. Hmmm...interesting.

as for Aneles name it means to anoint with oil in a religious ceremony making someone a Monarch..which is sort of what Anele was..anointed by Sunder and Hollian-made unfettered and wielder of the Staff of Law and he was amazed and awestruck by the ability of his mother and father fearing his inability...

Elena was the opposite ..though she was also high lord and SOL Wielder she had no such doubts, instead of being humbled by the power surrounding her she thought it was her calling to defeat Foul and Cure the land and had no fear of using something that was not meant to be used out of order. ...for all we know Kevin himself didnt completely comprehend the sixth ward so was not able or unwilling to advance past it. after all the desecration only lasted 1500 years but the breaking of the law of death was never fixed-instead the law of life was also broken 3000 years or so later to compensate for the law of deaths consequences somehow.

Yes, well Linden can be a little trying at times can't she.
