It's FRIDAY! As Waddley would say... WOOT! Bring on the weekend! Yeah Baby!

good...but as well a little sad..for finally it is spring ..or nearly summer in Germany..Flowers, sunshine ,happy people and i have started to ride my little horse..
but i have to work tomorrow and of course during the whole week (otherwise i cant afford a pony!)

i just hope there will be not as much rain a last year during the next months

I was doing okay. Now I hear the laziest person on the team I am on is being promoted. As one of the few employees who is almost always on time, and doesn't avoid calls because they are too difficult, this irks me.

And to top it off, the boss is asking if I'd be willing to come in at 2:30am each weekend day. With seeing laziness and stupidity awarded (not to mention outright lying to my face several times), it might be time to move on.

One of my attorneys kept me busy with a ton of stuff today at work, which is both good and bad. Good: I didn't have time to get bored. Bad: I didn't have much time on the Watch. Ah well....

What a day I had at work yesterday.

I blew up at three different Mangager, including the terminal manager, who happens to be a very good friend (..well drinking buddy)...and I ended up going to the warehouse manager with a map of Halifax and slamming it down on his desk and telling his that he should concider trying to learn the area a little bit (although I wasn't that polite..I MAY have dropped the F-bomb a half-dozen times)

When I left the warehouse; I pulled over in a parking lot, drank a cup of coffee and ate a sandwhich, and listen to Classical Music on the Radio for about fifteen minutes before starting my day.

I feel ashamed. I now know how much I live up to (or down to) being a cacoepist (mispronouncer of words). Last night it was pointed out to me that I have been mispronouncing "thank" my whole life. I was so surprised I had to look it up in the dictionary, and discovered just how wrong I was.

I say the "th" as the th in the, rather than the th in think.

Because several of my friends were there when I was notified of this pronunciation difference, and they are the sorts who will tease me each time they hear it. Heck, they teased me for an hour after telling me how it was pronounced.

Thank (with the th from the) you. Maybe I'll tell them that next time they try to tease me about it.

Just tell them that you're parents are French, and you've picked up a bit their accent.

Up here, there's plenty of people who say "T'anks" usually followed by the word "B'y"

I would, but most of them have met my parents, and my parents are definitely not French. Oh well.

So, I've been applying for various jobs. Who knows if I'll have success? If nothing else works I'm going to work with a friend at a summer camp, pretty much guaranteed a position, it's like out of state and stuff though so I'm trying to avoid it.

BUT SO MANY retail jobs use this STUPID form called unicru. It's actually not that bad. But you have to fill out a new one every single time. I've actually memorized a few phone numbers, addresses, etc of references because I've done this thing so much...

I wouldn't mind writing out applications over and over...well I probably would...but when it's online, and automated, they could definitely work out a better system (for instance, some other job sites and stuff have a sort of general application you put in for many stores). They have a 34 page questionnare, 5 qs each, on the unicru thing, it would really help if I just had to fill it out once (and it was sent to every one of the jobs). I mean, sometimes the questions seem to change but it's still a huge bother.

EDIT-In short, I miss those old days I never lived in, maybe which never existed, where you actually filled out a paper application knowing for sure that the spot you're applying for is actually open. (for instance, at A&P some lady said they were hiring a cashier, and that I should go online, then I do and there isn't anything available, come back the next day turns out there isn't actually an opening, so I've been hoodwinked ).

Actually I miss the days of the voyageurs...

Hmm, I've never come across that before. Interesting. If the French angle doesn't work, you could always plead Welshness and claim it's spelled 'ddanc' (which would be pronounced your way).

Hmm... I have always liked Welsh, even though I don't know much of it.
Is it really "ddanc" in Welsh, or is that a joke?

I LOVE Welsh, can't figure out a thing they're saying...
