Krinn wrote:Menolly, you should switch to a hero. Then you can submit a story every day.
You have
no idea how difficult I find writing to be, Krinn. I will definitely pass on that suggestion, thank you very much.

The person who constantly claims to have great difficulty writing somehow manages to turn in the biggest turn submissions turn after turn in multiple games.
And Murrin, you crack me up.

Gotta say, though, I assumed you were Death. Heh.

Blame the AllFather.
He insisted I submit stories to improve my writing after about three turns in for me in the Second Age. Otherwise I was told things would
always go poorly for cho. I never tested him on that, and it has pretty much become habit for my submittals now.

Hey now. Not to mix game threads, but The Numen's reveal had to be split into several pieces.

*apologies for the double post*
Autarch sir, I'm just double checking.
We can now space out our non-DSP narratives, if we submitted more than one, between deadline and results instead of having to post on the first, correct?

You'll probably want to wait for Murrin to submit his turn, whoever Murrin is playing, just so you don't influence him.
(Of course, Murrin wouldn't intentionally use that info to his advantage, but it's really hard to un-know something.)

Sure, but I'd like them all to be in before, say, the 7th. And remember, it doesn't matter if people know or not; they can't use information that is publicly posted after midnight of the last day of the month (EST). This is a good reason to go ahead and post, because if someone had planned on doing something that would have interfered with what you're doing, they'll have to revise. Pays to be on time.

I must confess, I do give in occasionally to the temptation to deliberately mislead. Now, you have to wonder, given that I prefer to hide my identity, and I usually talk to Syl about that stuff privately, was I actually late with this turn?

Happy April 1st.
I've taken "left" and "right" out. Am thinking about leaving the others in though.

Disregard my post in the Tales thread. Wrong window.

It looked like he accidentally posted a PM in the public thread.

Ah, that happens at times...
...at least I know I have done it on occasion.
Whatever it was, I missed it anyway.
See? Regardless of what danlo says, I am not always on the Watch.
...especially during Pesach.
Although I admit I probably come pretty close...

Eztlicoatl once sent a pm he intended for someone else to Zephyr. It was about Zephyr. Kind of an hysterical situation. We both got a laugh out of it.

Early in The Numen's existence, back when I was using Ambien to sleep, I somehow stayed up after it had kicked in, and posted a big ole rambling post to the Pantheon forum. Luckily it was late at night, and I saw it the next morning and deleted it. I know at least one person read it, though.
I'm kind of surprised it was even coherant, to tell the truth.

Those nights when you were on Ambien and posting while waiting for it to kick in where...interesting, to say the least.

Ambien posting is fun. I've written a few of your guys' results that way (processing always takes longer than I expect).
Heh, a few Aesir submissions as well. I told Fist that I had an awesome story idea for this Aesir turn. Damned if I can remember what it was, though.

In the end, I've decided to just get by with 4hrs of sleep. All the weird side effects of Ambien, Lunesta, Trazadone, and all the other drugs... they're worse than just being tired all day.
When I couldn't remember how I got to work one day, or how I'd gotten the bottle of Advil on my desk... that really was the last straw. Too dangerous.
And I think I miss Ambien just a little too much. Even though I can't remember being on the stuff, I miss it. A lot. And that scares me almost as much as the idea of driving 80mph down the wrong side of the freeway.
