Beautiful pictures, Matixman, Balon!
We had a gorgeous harvest moon the other night, and it was so huge it looked like it filled half the sky. I was terribly frustrated not to have my camera with me. It has a night setting, and I haven't tried that out yet.

Here's two photos I took last Sunday on a divine afternoon at my local beach. The first is a bit Hallmark Card-esque but I still like it.

Awesome sunset, Sea!
Must be nice to live in a place with such an unobstructed view of the heavens.

These past couple of weeks, I've been blissfully snapping pictures with my new digicam, the Canon A710 IS. For a compact camera, it is one marvelous photographic instrument! Hope you find these pics to your liking. These were all taken on the same day, as I took advantage of a fog that blanketed the city right into the night.
I used the Black&White mode here, and was quite pleased with the results:

For these, I used Positive Film mode, which supposedly emulates the richly saturated look of 35mm color film. Works for me!

I should also note that these shots came straight out of the camera, with little to no post-processing from me. Canon already did all the work!

Oooh John...John... <sigh>
And MM, as always, wonderful wonderful pictures! I'm thinking of getting myself a new camera. How much did your new one cost (if you don't mind me asking).
