Uhhh, yeah. I prolly should've mentioned this earlier seeing as how I'm Waddley.
I always thought you had a softer, feminine side.

My apartment has now been dry for 2 days, so I cleaned the place up, put everything back where it goes and such, just in time for my kids to come over this weekend and wreck it again!

I'm a little miffed this morning. I haven't had any coffee yet, and appearently my posts over in the think-tank have insulted some, depite the fact I go to great lengths not to insult. HMPH! (said petulantly).

There... I am done venting. ;)

The thing about using text to communicate is that things can often be misinterpreted. In conversation there is much that is communicated non verbally through tone and body language. The lack of this non verbal communications often causes problems.

Scary. I almost said the exact same thing a few days ago...not sure if it was on the watch or in person though. Wow.

I'm sure you said it and we all misunderstood it, due to lack of non-verbal communication and body language.

sh*t. not much you can do girlfriend. here's what the best boss i ever had used to say to us when we got overwhelmed and stressed.

all you can do is all you can do.

you cannot change what those two other people did. looks like damage control at this point. i've no idea what you're doing or your deadlines or anything. i don't know your postition in relation to these other two and whether or not you have a responsibility to reprimand or what. but truthfully...all you have any control over is you. and all you can do is your best. the task for the task's sake. you've had a rough year. take care of yourSELF. do whatever you have to do to accomplish that.
k?

big giant girl hugs,
cyn
so here's how I handled it.....

When the offending person came into my office to tell me that they hadn't run my sample yesterday, I told them that I was aware of it. When she offered to run it today, I told her it was already started. I told her that I was already going to have to work every day of the holiday weekend and that any further delays would cause me to miss my family obligations. She then offered to stay late today to help me out, I told her that I needed to stay late any way to discuss some projects with my boss. So, in effect, I let her know that she put me in a bad position and that I would not be trusting her with any further work.

Sounds like you were professional and more than fair to her.

Lorelei, you handeled that much better than I would have. I probably would have had her come in on the weekend, and had her do nothing just to waste her time, cause I'm bitter like that.

I'm feeling pretty good. Last night I had a dream that Maynard (the vocalist for Tool) and I were singing "Light my candle" from Rent... and that was pretty cool, since Maynard kicks ass.

dAN- Here's a bette pic of me so you don't feel so betrayed. Hope that helps.

Elfie/big sis- For now I'm just going to focus on eating regularly and not skipping meals. Once I start yoga then I'll look more deeply into nutrition. Baby steps. :D Thank you for the advice.

Cail- You're not me. Knock it off. I'm Wayfriend.
