I forgot all about that.

Hey, thanks!

I'm having a bad morning. Last night, I found out my WoW buddies had been pulling an elaborate prank on me. One of the older guildies had made a new character, and when using said character, acted like a total noob, asking a lot of stupid questions. I spent a lot of time patiently answering stupid questions, because I'm a good person. I haven't been on a lot the past few weeks, because of finals and stuff, so everyone else in the guild but me knew about it. It made me really angry. Even if I know that it was just in jest, and they didn't mean anything by it.
And this morning, I woke up with a migraine. And I have to get in a car in about 25 minutes, and sit there while Ali drives for 13 hours. What fun.

Screw Indiana Jones for making wake up this early.
Frickfrickfrick.
I hate the morning.

Already did this via PM, but more can't hurt, Balon.

Magickmaker, drink lots of water and plan revenge. You have 13 hours in which to make your revenge agenda. Balon, hugs to you buddy.
I feel a bit woozy this morning. The water pipe construction crew started in at six this morning. Gah. Oh well. The day must surely get better, right?

Having had a number of pranks played on me over the years, the solution I eventually developed was not one of satisfying revenge (sadly

) but one of being happy with my actions. Ok, so they wasted your time, but really all their prank did was demonstrate that you're a good person. Don't let them make you feel embarrassed or angry about that, just because they knew something you didn't.
It's kind of hard to explain what I'm getting at, but it makes pranks much less stressful. If you acted in a way that gives you no cause for shame or embarrassment, the fact that it was a prank doesn't really matter. And, believe me, being completely unfazed by their prank is going to be more effective payback than most revenge you might concoct. Because if it doesn't bother you, they wasted
their time as well as yours, and they might even end up feeling a bit foolish themselves.
It does take a bit of an effort to train yourself to react this way, but it's worth it.

If they were friends of mine, it's fair play to prank right back. But that's my group.
As for work, I got sent home early. Weak. So I woke up WAY early for a theater, spent four and a half hours moving heavy shit, and now I get to see four hours off my next paycheck. But I'm hanging with the ladyfriend in a half hour or so, so I'm not TOO pissed.

Jeeze, so I just heard that my Dad is going to the hospital for a CAT scan. I guess he has a marble sized lump on the side of his neck, and it makes his whole shoulder hurt when he moves it. Scary stuff.
More as I figure it out.

thank you, I do try to keep that in mind, and I'm pretty much trying to let it go. But it was kinda nice to rant about it. And I know its gonna continue to bother me for a couple days, even if I don't let on that it does. And I do appreciate what you're trying to tell me. It doesn't bother me in the sense that they pulled the prank on me, so much as the fact that I fell for it, and spent all that time answering questions for a veteran.
And:

for Balon.

Hang in there, Balon...
I'm freakin' *tired*. Left the house at 9:20am. Got 30 miles down the road and realized I'd forgotten the keys to Mom's house -- sooooo, lost an hour backtracking to get the keys. So we were an hour late getting to Indy, where we were supposed to meet a friend of mine for dinner at 7pm. Luckily she's a *very* good friend, so she was good with getting dessert while Magickmaker and I ate dinner. By the time we got back on the road after dropping off my friend, tho, it was 9:30pm -- I'd been driving for 12 hours with another 3 hours in front of me. I don't mind long-distance driving, but 15 hours in the car in one day is a little much, even for me.
So now we're at a Hampton Inn in Lafayette, IN. Will do the rest of the drive tomorrow (oh joy, oh rapture...).

That is alot of driving and alot of riding. Tomorrow will be a breeze in comparison.
I feel super silly today. My brain went on overdrive on a thread today and now I am just waiting for the mods to find it and bring out Jay and his banstick....

Ban you? I doubt it. They probably will just erase all those posts. (Understandably.)
