Hail all new Watchers :) We've hit a slump in activity around here because this bunch has decided that WoW is more important (you know who you are :P)

So, it's up to the new folk to roll the stones and post away. Have fun with it and no, nobody will fritz all over you for starting threads :)

WoW = World of Warcraft

There's a Watch Guild on The Scryer server. You can read about it down in the Video Games sub-forum.

I don't think WoW can be contained or banned. They do have their own forum for their guild, you know. If you don't let them talk about WoW at all on here, you might succeed in driving them away. Or at least making it so they don't visit the watch as often. ;)

And I like trying to decipher just what it is they are talking about, without becoming a player myself...

Wow .... this isn't a forum, it's a family. That being the case, I wanted to say hello. I'm new here.

I am and have been a HUGE TC fan for the last 24 years. I have read the first and second chronicles .. 3 times I think ?? I consider this series to be my 2nd all time favorite, ( after Tolkien ).

Was terribly sorry Donaldson didn't do more with the series. I'm happy he's doing another one, ... hate that last book not due till 2013 .. I think, and hate it even more that he's calling it the LAST chronicle.

I think this series should have been a movie, and there is no question that there is hardly a more lovingly descriptive place than The Land. TONS I'd like to say about the books, but I see the forum is VERY extensive. I'll need some time to see what;s here and add my comments to the appropriate places.... and try not to repeat anything that you've hashed out ad nauseum...

Mhoram was always one of my favorite characters, I am sure Hile Troy has been a contraversial figure.... thought the Sunbane concept in Wounded Land was amazingly creative, and riveting. I look forward to reading all of your comments, because I really didn't know anyone else that appreciated this series in any great depth. Like I do. Like you all do.

I'm hoping this forum allows me to expand and keep alive this great Land, where the Author has let it die.
