Led shifts his coiled rope to his hands, then looks around. Chuckling to himself, he slings the rope back over his shoulder. Whispering as well. "I'll just stand down here by the door. If any survive, and come down here to attack you, I'll help keep them from getting through the door to you."
"But judging from how much I was needed against the last gargoyles... maybe I'll just enjoy the show."

As the cleric lets her Fireball fly, the bard reinforces her own enchantment abilities and then sings the discordant Dirge of Discord up in to the tower to strike the surviving gargoyles and any other potential foes as they soar down towards the party in response to the surprise attack, meanwhile readying an arrow in her longbow to aim against any which make it further down.
[ooc]I have not leveled up my sheet yet, so I don't know if I'll have anything which might have been more useful in this situation. Please apply appropriate levels of Perform checks as needed, which will be +15 modifier once I get to my sheet.
swift action: turn the Dirge in to a Captivating Melody using feat, please
standard action: cast Dirge of Discord up in to the tower, hopefully below the Fireball detonation so it misses Vyn, yet high enough to avoid the party members wherever they are.
move action: nock and aim an arrow in preparedness for the next round.[/ooc]

Sigrid's Fireball incinerates fully twenty gargoyles!
Vynarkus' blast strikes another one (14 points, setting it on fire!
Laurel's Dirge tears at the minds of the remaining gargoyles! (All 6 failed their saves)

If any of the Bad Gargoyles come in range attack! If they are cautious about coming down, study one.

[I should probably be swapped with Katrina or Anna on the map, or Sigrid with Skyseeker, since I was holding Sigrid's arm to guide her aim.]
Kali lets out a small squeal of glee as the fireball's light and heat washes over the party. "Watch for falling rocks." She stands guard over Sigrid in case the few remaining decide to retaliate against her.
[Delay my action so I move when Sigrid does. If she doesn't move far, stay within 5' of Sigrid. If she enters the tunnel as I hope, move to block it. Use partial defense since that should let me use Combat Reflexes to get attacks of opportunity on anything trying to get past.]

Anna decides to forgo magic and gets closer to Sigrid. She decides that protecting their mage from attack would probably be the best course of action. Planting her feet, she says to Sigrid "Well, I'll just stand here, and if one of them comes towards you, I'll beat the hell out of it"
If a gargoyle comes near Sigrid or myself, full attack with Precious.

Her performance of the Dirge distracting her from taking proper aim with her arrow, the bard shifts her tune to an inspiring courage one to hearten the party while the Dirge continues to hamper the gargoyles. As she sings she moves closer to the tunnel, and Led.
[ooc]Perfom check to keep the Dirge going while I launch in to Inspire Courage.

move action: move southeast a square towards the tunnel.[/ooc]

Vynarkus reinvokes his invisibility, moves out into the column, and peers up, attempting to determine what he hears giggiling. He makes sure he doesn't crash into any of the gargoyles as he moves out, and doesn't have time to attack any, but does try to pass next to any that came back up, so that his Aura of Menace can disorient them a bit more.
[ooc]although he hasn't had time to invoke detect magic, please remember that See the Unseen is still active.[/ooc]

The surviving gargoyles all flee, up the spire at maximum speed. The gargoyle Vynarkus set on fire is consumed by the flames, plummeting to the ground.
One of Sigrid's beams misses! the other strikes a gargoyle, flames ravaging it's body, but it continues flying away! (18 points)

Vynarkus rises as fast as he can, getting far enough away from the Jovocs that they can't transfer their injuries to him. "Everyone, there are a pair of Jovocs only 15 feet above you! Get out of their aura, quickly!"
[ooc]I don't quite remember the range of their aura, but I'm sure they're close enough to hurt everyone else. Hopefully everyone can change their actions with this info...[/ooc]

With a cry of frustrated fury, the jovocs are set back to the Abyss!
A horrific cawing is heard, and from high up in the spire, you see something descending....wings, a vulture-like head...but bipedal, with savagely taloned hands and feet....

Kalindriel squeaks in surprise as she feels Sigrid's disrupting spell pulse over her. "Watch that!"
She watches the form descend and pounces with a taunt in a vile language.

Her eyes widening as she recognizes the Vrock landing in the corner of the room near 'Trina, the bard sets her courageous inspirational song to linger as she picks up a countersong to the expected stunning screech. All the while she moves away from the demon to the opposite side of the room.

Infernal and Abyssal are different languages. The good planes all speak Celestial, but the evil planes have two. Led can speak Abyssal, but not Infernal. I've never had access to someone who could teach it. But now I can learn from Trina, and teach her Abyssal. Everybody wins.]
Led snarls, a mix of surprise at further enemies, and joy at getting to let his growing savagery loose once again. He shifts to his combat form. Only, the damned thing was flying.
"I hate flyers!" He again readies his lasso, to keep the damned thing down on the ground. Looking around for some bit of architecture he can use to brace against, in case the Vrock just lifts his light frame from the ground, he launches the rope at the demon.
