Wait.
Is this some kind of trick?
LF, did wayfriend put you up to this?
It's that type of trickery that I would expect from Linden's Army, having "Lord Foul" become a member of THOOLAH.
I think LF's membership needs to be on hold until we find out for sure.
He hates Linden. That's good enough for me.
Im dedicating a sequence of Linden avery Art to Thoolah,
the first is
Linden Avery- turning a Sign toting Illearth Stone Wielding Thoolah member to ash with the staff of law. so it will be a skeleton holding a thoolah sign looking a bit like Wile E Cyote.
Linden Avery- Crying and TC protecting her and turning a sign toting Illearth Stone Wielding thoolah member to ash with his white gold ring. so it will be a skeleton holding a thoolah sign looking a bit like Wile E Cyote.
Linden Avery- Using Staff and the white gold to Castrate Chant wearing a Thoolah T-shirt. because i always hated that smug little Bastard.
Im in the mood for some Comedy.
WOW>>>>> now does that mean that Thoolah allowing Lord Foul to join their ranks or more correctly Thoolah Joining Fouls Army

-has become.......(In Homage to the Church lady-Dana Carvey)......RAVERRRRRRRS??????? or at the least-extreme Haruchai, but even they liked her a little bit, or had respect for her faults and all.
there is enough pain on her part for you to all bath in her misery for eternity-smile upon that or laugh like a giant if you wish.
Personally i would take both TC an LAs Heads and Bonk them together and yell quit your damn sniveling... PEOPLE ARE DYING!!!!! Gimme that F*****G Ring!!!! I would be Hile Troy X 10
They both just need someone there to kick them in the ass now and then.

Ah! I haven't quite put my finger on it, but you're right! That's what the Last Chronicles needs! An Official Linden Avery Ass-kicker!-jay

Sorry, boys. She currently has both the Staff of Law and the White Gold.
I don't think your chosen quest will easily be fulfilled.

Meh, let her get about 10 more powerful items, then her obsession with saving Jeremiah will end up breaking the Land, as well as every pitiful soul that helps her in her quest. Talk about great judgment, Chosen. It's the most obvious machination Foul has ever devised, and yet she can't see through it.
Even Convenant, at the end of Fatal Revenant, is dismayed at what she's done. It's obvious she needs to return that damn ring!

The "you'd understand if it was your son" works fine with Joan abandoning TC, but here the stakes are massive: if I had to choose between a world of people and the possibility of letting Lord Foul out of the Arch of Time and destroying the universe and making it into a "hell for eternity", I hope my son might understand. I know he wants everything, but I wouldn't kill space-time for his safety.
Fatal Revenant definitely has a theme about Linden's choices and their danger: there's a plethora of characters reminding her there are other paths, or warning her of increasing her power. Her dismissal of Infelice at Andelain was pretty haughty, and it ended up waking the Worm. Then again, I don't like the
Elohim, so maybe they getting eaten was good.

I have to admit, this is a good point. She probably is doing exactly what Foul wants. Yet, this is a theme we've seen before -- taking Foul's scheming and pulling a judo move to use it against him.

Well, if we snip your 300 apologist posts out, we come to a lean and mean 100 posts of high-literary, Shakespearean Linden bashing...

Well, yeah, TC makes that abundantly clear in TIW that EVERYTHING that happens in the Land, whether it seems good or bad, is suspect, as in it might be Foul's idea to have let it happen. I think Linden gets this, but she is (literarily) living her choices in real time while we get years to rethink her choices. YOU try to save the Land!! Because you have to admit, it's a pretty messed up place.

Look at how many times Foul "thought" he had it in the bag and just one tiny little bit of information or misunderstanding ruined his Millenia. Foul is so insane with rage and hatred he keeps making mistakes, or what he thinks is written in stone is actually as alterable as the surface of hurtloam..and so far he's 0 for 2. I would be sweating protoplasm if i were him.

Seems to me that Linden realises everything is suspect, but almost doesn't care. Her passion for the things she cares is so consuming that she takes a fairly cavalier, "if this is playing into Foul's hands, so be it!" attitude.

I originally posted this in another thread but it's so applicable here I couldn't resist sharing it with my fellow THOOLAH members.
I'll try to keep from diving headlong into THOOLAH territory here but I seem to understand and relate to the point of this thread. I too feel that there is something missing. It's easy to point to Linden as the cause but perhaps there's more to it than that.
My first impression of the Las Chrons was a little negative in that it felt a little like when you base a sequel to a blockbuster movie on a supporting character. Rarely does this ever work. (Evan Almighty). I mean it's human nature to spend the entire film wondering why the award winning actor's character is no where to be found but the guy you kind of liked WHILE he was interacting with the original main character is up there on screen all by his lonesome. Makes you feel a little cheated. Especially if the other supporting characters from the first film are missing as well and you have to get acquainted with a bunch of new characters who are now interacting with the former second fiddle.
I guess what I'm saying is except for the Land, Linden some recognizable communities of characters and Lord Foul, the Last chrons is chock full of brand new characters that haven't as yet made me forget I'm missing Brinn, The First, Pitchwife, Mhoram, Quaan, Hile Troy, Elena, Bannor, Cail, Vain, Findail, Foamfollower and of course Thomas Covenant.
