The World Breaker's motives are his own - if he chooses to explain them, you'll know :P As for the escalation - nope, you people are doing a wondrous job by yourselves, Melirelle's actions may seem sudden but she'd been planning this for a few turns now. And in any case, at least she hasn't fulfilled any of the lines of the prophecy yet - which is more than can be said for many others ;)

EDIT: Ah, but I forget... cryptic hints!

Hmm, where to begin... what about the fact that at least three Prophets bite the dust this turn? This doesn't include Dionach, as he's not considered a Prophet any longer...

Oh, also, there's an abundance of unique, epic creatures showing up on Eiran this turn...

Oh, and war is spreading in lands where nobody expected it to arrive...

Oh, and there's a rather large chunk of land that won't be there anymore when the map is updated...

... and also, somebody seems to be preparing for THE radical decision!

Ooh.

Hmm.

The only lands I wouldn't expect anything are Bhakti's...

I would hope just where the time distortion's been, but I'm getting the distinct feeling it's something entirely different.

Hmm. I have a theory, but won't give anything away.

Yay! And no one had to ask for them this time!

Uh-oh...

Ooo...from the contest?
Xar wrote:Oh, and war is spreading in lands where nobody expected it to arrive...
Well...I can't say it wasn't expected on Immeril, but I had hoped to avoid it.
Xar wrote:Oh, and there's a rather large chunk of land that won't be there anymore when the map is updated...
Oh man...
Xar wrote:... and also, somebody seems to be preparing for THE radical decision!
...no idea where this is going...

Thanks AllFather! After not getting any cryptic hints last Turn, this is awesome!

The bad news is Jove's probably in extreme trouble. The good news is that Jove doesn't currently have a prophet, so Xar couldn't have killed a fourth of hers! Must drive you crazy, eh Xar?

*sigh* Yeah, I sure wouldn't expect war in Shakari. :(

I just finished the turn results of the first player... thus far we have five destroyed cities and one dead Prophet.

Out of curiosity Xar...

Has the combined vibes of Pantheon players that I am sure were focused towards your school's director this past Turn caused the ceasing of those three-hour long afternoon seminars?

They're in the morning, and no... they'll continue as scheduled until the end of the week. But I have no incoming mice yet and therefore more spare time during my workday :P

So all we have to do is keep mice out of Europe!!

Anyway, Aldian is one giant pain in the ass, so you have my permission to destroy it!! Freakin' human-eating changelings live there; orcs invade it; mages curse it; it's inhabitants and elemental protector go insane... Good riddance! But no, I imagine some pretty city somewhere got trashed instead.

Let me warn you, though... Kill Allyria and I'll be on a plane to hunt you down!!

Ick. What a way to start the day...

Here's a tip, Xar: update the map a few hours (at least!) before you send out the results. Get people really annoyed not knowing exactly what's happened or why.

I have four cities and a tower - does that count? :?

Please don't kill Iris. Please. :(

Give me a minute, and then check your PMs.

The runes around the dagger with the blood and rose petals in the Art thread translates to an abbreviated version of it.

It would have made no difference as far as the prophecy goes. It is my personal belief that we are up to the last stanza.

And, you are welcome.

Time for more cryptic hints...

1) Right now, there's war in at least three between continents and named islands (such as Olaern, Immeril, Kortral, Khenstorn, Necrontir, Landir and Thellarr).

2) The war in Olaern has certainly escalated... troops number in the hundreds of thousands :P

3) Somebody's master plan didn't work exactly as intended...

4) We find out whether gods can also be cursed...

5) Surprisingly enough, Shakari is unharmed yet!

You will fall in the end, Asta. Do not for a moment doubt it.
HOW COULD YOU WENCH!!! :P

Hmm. I can think of elements of my plan that were useless, and elements of the plan against me almost as useless. Doubtless there are a lot of other plans going on that might not go well.
