But CovJ, even though it's a wishy-washy notion, I always think that these kinda things happen for a reason.

Oh and Caggy HOW WONDERFUL! Will you name the bub after me?!?!?

Yes, it is a wishy-washy notion. ;) But you're right, it did happen for a reason - the reason being I'm going to Seafest. :P

Well said.

I'm very, VERY sorry dAN.

Sometimes things happen where you just throw your hands up and feel completely stunned, empty, and confused. That was definitely one of them, dAN. Hope all turns well.

Thanks guys, I hope she recovers, too. I'll do everything I can to help her, and I'm sure the rest of the band feels the same way.

As we've never met (yet...two weeks!) it seems like it might be a little difficult. But the wonders of modern science, and all that, I suppose anything is possible.

Illness update: feeling better, and feel good enough to go to the hot springs this weekend and spent tonight and tomorrow night there. Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait! I just wish most of the friends we invited didn't flake out on us. We rented a caboose and two cabins, and on each night, there is only going to be one couple coming up to join us. Which means one cabin will go empty both nights. So glad I wasted some of my credit on these ingrates. The last person to cancel did so on Wednesday, I believe.

Well, my cat has what appears to have an abscess. It's a long weekend this weekend so I'm going to have to wait until Tuesday to see if we can get her into see someone. She's not really bad (yet). I hate the helplessness of this situation as she's clearly unwell and there's not much I can do about it. <sigh>

Glad you're feeling better, Cag. Glad you're not carrying my child also. ;)

dAN: hope she gets through this. Her and her children.

Went for a big walk in the wood with the kiddies today.

I wanted to take all kids of picture, and possibly post one or two here

Unfortunatly, the other-half is away all weekend, and she took the good camera.
I dug out the older one, and found some batteries; took a bunch of pics-but I think it was on its last legs.
When I hooked it up to the 'puter; it would start to upload, then the batteries died, and nothing would tranfer...three different sets of batteries, the same thing happened; although all the battereis were alread used, they weren't dead, so I think there's a problem in the camera itself, no getting any power.

It was a DC hookup, but its only for 3 volts...I doubt if I have an adapter to fit it.

I feel very aggravated as a result of my dealings with certain people. I have had to remove myself from certain situations that are unproductive and stress-inducing. :(

Urgh, MsMary. And sorry about the equipment failure, drew. And here's hoping the vet says your kitty's okay, Sea.

It's stinkin' hot here today. Magickmaker and I were all set to get in the pool at the aquatic center first thing this morning -- got up early, got dressed, drove over, and discovered the pool was closed for a swim meet. There we stood at 10am, staring through the natatorium window like urchins outside a candy shop at Christmas.... :(

so I am "nesting" (ya know ladies...that thing you do a month or so before your bub is born). Of course, I'm not pregnant but I think it's probably a good indication of my nerves regarding my trip. So I've cleaned EVERYTHING and I'm washing things I don't need to wash...and going troppo.

On an unrelated issue: I'm peeved. We're having a mold problem in the house (which isn't healthy) and will have to buy a dehumidifier to try and keep the problem under control. So what with having to buy that and my cat (which I'd say will cost me a couple of hundred dollars) I'm looking at being a good $800 poorer than I wanted to be when I come to the US. bah! :P

Just got back from working out with my personal trainer at the gym. He really pushes me hard, which is great. I'm noticing big muscle growth; it will be weird to have an athletic body, since I have been slim my whole life.
