Get better Duchess!

Feeling very awake. Just ate me a bagel and now sipping some coffee. Usually get up around 6:00 AM, even though my first class is at 8:00. Pretty amazing for an undergrad, eh? Heh.

It seems that my superpower of not letting things bother me has been an illusion all these years.
It seems that yes, I too can feel stress, imagine that.
Marriage is in the dumpster and my car is a piece of crap (and I'm not equating the two!) and my diabeties is just totally off the wall.
Plus I'm waiting for possible bad health news about a problem with my side and then I'll probably lose my job on this downward spiral I am enjoying this month......
Because well, when I'm down I'm usually REALLY down.

But I look good.

Hang tough, HLT. Even if you are living a life more commonly associated with a character in a Springsteen song, you can turn it around. Looking good should not be underrated! Hang tough!

Sympathetic ((hug)) to those who are in a bad way.

Feeling twitchy. Got an email today from a friend I haven't talked to since middle school. And here I thought I'd burned that bridge. All because my name's on a website, there for anybody to Google as they wish. Grr. Nice to hear from him again, though. Looks like he's doing well, got a good job. What else can you wish for on behalf of somebody you never thought you'd speak to again? Really off-balance now. Not used to stuff like this. :? Am I just overreacting? Yeah, I think so.

But if there's dinner involved, I think I might just leave town. *hides*

Alynna, how does he feel about Canada?

Get-better-quick wishes to all sickies! All 3 of us have colds or something. Batty got sick first so we're blaming it on her, even though she would've had to send us the germs by carrier pigeon....

Danlo, great news about Izaak!

HLT, you know what they say: It's always darkest right before it turns pitch black. Hope your portents of doom are off the mark.

We did a yard sale/bake sale to benefit the Girl Scout troop over the weekend and made $90, whoo hoo!

Hope you're feeling better Duchess!
Hugs for Lore.
Glad you survived Dan. Hope that you're feeling better too (that you're over your "bug").
HLT, brave heart! Hugs for you too
Alynna: hope your blast-from-the-past doesn't rattle you too much (I know all too well how that kind of thing can do your head in).

As for me: I've woken up to a warm tropical-esque day (quite bizarre weather). Looks like it's going to bucket down later. But it's left me in a "mood" I don't want to be in: deeply reflective about certain things I thought I'd "got over". I'm starting to feel there are people in my life that aren't good for me, people who just use me to make themselves feel good but who don't spare two thoughts for how I'm feeling. Why I surround myself with people like this I don't know. Why I continue to do it I don't know. Why, when I acknowledge it's happening, I don't just say to them "f**k off" I don't know. Don't know much today. :?

True, but I think the problem is I have very few "friends" and all of them (if I'm being brutally honest) fit into the "I'm in it for me not for you" category.

Wow, sounds like people have been having a crazy day.

Good luck with everything, HLT. At least you have an AWESOME avatar, by the way. Hehe. (I need to make a new THOOLAH avatar...)

Yeah, good luck to you too, Sea. Don't let yourself get used too much. You should know what feels right. If you want to use someone else to feel good, feel free to send me a PM. I'm good at that. Heh.

And wow, someone you haven't heard from since middle school, A? That sure sounds like it came out of no where. Don't blame you for feeling strange. I don't even remember anyone from middle school...heh. Good luck.

But if he starts to bother you too much, then just let me know, and I'll go beat him up. ;)

Wow. Sounds as just about everyone could use a hug. . .

Elfgirl. . . you are making me jealous. :P

As for me, I am doing well. I'm thinking that I will go to bed early tonight (no more 3am posting on the Watch. . .), and I will enjoy the chill in the air by snuggling under the covers. Okay, it would be nicer to have someone to snuggle with, but that is neither here nor there. :D

Be well, everyone.

I feel fabulous, with a capital F and a capital Abulous. Had a terrifically fun weekend in San Francisco. I got to be an "expert" on one of the last episodes of Fantasy Bedtime Hour's Lord Foul's Bane arc, which was a blast. Then I went to a party and ate delicious fried chicken with most of the cast. They're a charming, funny, talented bunch, and it was an awesome party.

The next day I met up with Lucimay, and we went to a brunch thrown by more FBH people on a rooftop downtown. The food was fantastic and the weather was insanely gorgeous. Then I met some other SF friends and walked around Golden Gate Park. Did I mention the weather? Crazy beautiful the whole time, perfect Indian Summer.

It was heartwarming to see how much the FBH people genuinely care about Donaldson and how much they know about his work. Oh, and I stayed with my old comics mentors Steve and Trina, and got to spend time with them too, which happens too rarely these days.

One of the best weekend ever for me. I had so. Much. Fun.

I'll upload some Luci pics, etc. tomorrow.
