A little emotionally drained.
The internment of my uncle's ashes were yesterday.
My sister flew in for 24 hours so we could both attend. Since he married a Roman Catholic and his sons were raised as Roman Catholics, we were the only representatives of his own faith (he never converted) there. A bit weird, as it was a Jewish holiday, and things such as funerals are forbidden on those days, but he was not observant at all and wouldn't have cared, so we both held our tongue and allowed our aunt to make the arrangements.
My sister...the symptoms of this kidney illness are starting to show. And she still hasn't had the doctor's visit to discuss her test results. I am relieved she was only here for 24 hours, yet...
I feel extremely guilty I feel that way.

I've been extremely busy lately. I have a tremendous headache and lots of cleaning and laundry to do.
Father's Day is this weekend and it's the first one after my father passed away..... I just can't bring myself to be happy about it for my husband's sake.

Hmm. I feel both happy that my little brother is graduating this weekend, but sad that I have to miss the 'Fest.

And for Balon.
Oh heck.

all 'round. Just because it's hump day. Which is to say it's Wednesday, so we're halfway through the week, a.k.a. "over the hump." (Anybody who thought I meant something else needs to go back to the Virgins Anonymous thread. Cheez, you guys.

Boy meets girl.
Boy and girl get along.
Boy sees girl several times.
Girls tells boy she is to head to the US in two weeks and stay there for a year or five years.
We were getting to know each other, so it wasn't like serious dating, but I meet someone really interesting who finds me interesting, and I am about to see her leave the country.

I don't believe my luck sometimes . . .

Gee, I know this. Same thing happened to me with probably the most traditionally attractive person I ever dated. Naturally red, naturally curly hair. Beautiful, skin like cream, mad as a walnut, and the sex was amazing. Left for Denmark a few months after we finally started truly paying attention to each other, so we couldn't make any plans to date, especially since we were young and knew we'd just destroy ourselves waiting and pining for each other, so we said we'd see when we got back a year later. Never happened, and she had met someone there, and I had met someone here who later turned out to become my wife, then my ex-wife. I saw her with a cowboy within a year of her return. Now I almost wish I had held out.
