Happy belated birthday, Krilly. Mine was the 14th, and I received FR on the 11th. I had pre-ordered from Amazon. I finished it last night. Did you get your copy? Some real interesting stuff in there. Cant' talk about it here though. Waiting on my FR forum membership to be approved so I can ramble on.
Heard my ears aright? Did not the gaddhi grant me this glaive?

Fr is in stores in the UK now. I'm not very keen on the cover--rather than black, the background is very pale, almost silver. It makes some of the writing on the cover more difficult to read.

Yes Happy Birthday to everyone - mine was September 15, the day before Jordan died...ominous for a writer.

I recently bought all four books, intending to re-read them for the first time since 7th/8th grade (around the time of High Lord Kevin Landwaster, I believe). I'm glad you said something, because I had forgotten them!!!

My copy of FR finally arrived today. YAHOO! Love the gold spine on it! The map is pretty basic looking but, heh, it's a good map, and kinda more like the original maps in the Covenant books. And it smells good (the book, not the map!)

Still no sign of FR in Melbourne. 25th October is Thursday next week, so I'll be checking the bookstores daily from now on until it arrives...

Well - somebody got their undies in a bunch and voted against all of the positive reviews on Amazon! Grrrrr. Maybe it was that "Anon" who was using white-out while reading Fatal Revenant to "un-Foul" the linguistic beauty of the book. (See GI.)

I thought it was supposed to be released on the 19th in Oz...or did I make that up? I don't have a bookstore near me so....

Well, it can't all be perfect but a bunch of great reviews and mostly positive feedback is still in SRD's favor. In retrospect I probably should have made my name less real so as not to be associated with my name in the acknowledgements. I just didn't think about it. :?

Jenn, sweetie, I don't think that anyone other than a few of us here on the Watch will make the connection. And I don't mean to demean your significance, of course, because it is, well, significant. A significance that I envy. ENVY.

:-)

I bought my copy yesterday! I meant to buy it on the 18th when it comes out in the UK, but I wasn't too well, and busy looking after my Dad.

Will have time to read it tomorrow! :D
