You are gravely mistaken. Attack Calais with anything more than a trifling force, and the aggressors shall be reduced to ash, the earth shall swallow their dead, the rains shall wash their bones white, their children shall be born as hideous malformities, and, in time, history will record that nothing ever stood in their lands which did not render unto dust its form.

You are warned.
My thanks for the warning.

Calais, I apologise that I have been unable to quell the violence against your people. This season I will not be so gentle with my own, for I do not mean to fail again to end this foolishness.

Brid's people burn mine at the stake, they destroy property and cause havoc and chaos. Though I do not think it was under orders, I somehow doubt that it will be turned aside.

I tire of these zealots and have had enough of mine!

There are four powers. The Courts, Unaligned, and Eclipse. I propose the following. Zealots who rape, pillage, and burn are fair game for the attacked deity to do with what they will. If they need assistance they may ask. Most are powerful enough to handle such nuisances on their own.

Zealots who convert a town pose a different challenge. Once followers cross over it is difficult to convert back. i propose that impacted deities work private reparations as they see fit. No broad retribution should be caused by these spurious occurrences.

What say you Pantheon. Do we collectively optimize our response to these annoyances? So that broader matters can be our focus!

My point remains...unless you actively act against me, I do not consider us foes.

Well, I seem to have upset someone's plans. My apologies.

Not.

Someone, using a very clever method, tried to drive my followers out of the Forests of Shaldir. Of all things, driving my followers away from my homeland! The ships we hear have arrived in the ports on the outside were, I guess, sent for them. A kind gesture in the midst of this act against me? Very odd. But I have heard of a very strange problem in the city of another on Shaldir, so perhaps I was not the sole target?

To my great fortune, however, I happen to have been Manifested there at the time, and it was a relatively simple thing to counter the harm.

But, please, don't do it again.

Wicked envy grips the hearts of mortal creatures, and false creeds infect the minds of the unguarded. Beyond the safety of Malyth all manner of beasts turn to the worship of devils whose corrupt souls are weighted with so many lies that they heap them upon mortal minds to reduce their own burden of pain.

What happens beyond Malyth, and outside the cities of the One God is of little concern. All sunshine makes a desert, and there must be falsehood for truth to have a value. Inside Malyth, no worship but that of the Great Blood Serpent shall be tolerated. No followers but those of the Lord of the Sun and of Flame shall be permitted to draw breath.

Those who ignore this proclomation, those who provoke the anger of the One God shall bring nothing but their own annihilation.

Anaya, I was not aware that they were still attacking my followers. However, I understand how upsetting this is to you and I trust that you will end the crusade.

I thank you.

Brid backs the words of Devaghuya.

Brid's followers, filled with misguided fervour, continue to act directly against dogma. Previous crusades against the earth goddess and the sungod should now be halted. The crusade against the Wind and Rain will likewise be discouraged, but Brid will not hold it against the Bridgebuilder should harm befall these crusaders due to their actions contrary to Brid's dogma.

You mean since returning to Eiran? I've been discovering and re-discovering the glories and the secrets of the Forests! :D Obviously, I can't tell you about most of them here. The enemies of the Forests would just love that. eh? But the most amazing one is known by all anyway - the Tree Elders! They didn't even exist when I left Eiran millennia ago. Truly amazing beings!! (Any of them would be at least as good a God of Forests as me. I just happened to be able to Ascend much more easily.) Those to whom I have given mobility are even more extraordinary!

O-Gon-Cho, your people will suffer tenfold for the harm you have committed against my followers. I imagine that the mouths and eyes I grow in their flesh will do me more service than the petty whining and sycophantry you are used to. But I would sooner allow mindless beasts into my service . . .

Do not contact me with your vain explanations, for I will have no words with you.

I know not what triggered this crusade, mil-rd. Those followers acted on no orders of mine, nor of Raucous, Leier, or EtsiƤ. I will do my best to put a stop to it, as our common source as Second Age deities still holds much interest to me.

[ooc]doesn't it ever end???[/ooc]

I do not care, your people will be mutated.

In the name of their good will, I bring before this Pantheon the message of the Council of Pelendra, who desire it to be heard by all.

"The power of gods cannot touch Pelendra, for good or evil: the Soaring City is in truth a sanctuary for those who flee the machinations of the gods. Thus, let the word be spread among your people and your lord's fellow deities, that no harm shall be tolerated upon Pelendra, and that those who are weary of divine wars and seek only peace may come to the Soaring City and be welcome. But those who seek to do harm upon Pelendra shall have that harm returned to them sevenfold. Let all the gods know this, that no ignorance may be professed afterwards."

I would have it known that my intentions with the Floating City are concluded, and there still stands nothing between my people and the Council apart from a shared outlook upon the divine machinations that drive conflict upon this world. Though I have no claim upon them, and have made no agreements with them, I shall in the name of this sharing look unfavourably upon any of you who attempt to disturb the Peace that this Council work to maintain within their city.

Grey Lady...an Carraig...your followers have set about mine violently. We have no quarrel...I ask that you halt your followers crusades.

Devaguhya...we have no quarrel. My followers have acted in misguided faith...Rest assured I shall crush the crusade instantly.

My Lady O-Gon-Cho...I receive pleas of peace from your people, and yet at the same time a mysterious affliction prevents the healing of all my people...and you are coincidentally the Goddess of Healing.

Which am I to do? Believe the request for a cease-fire? Or suspect the convenient affliction?

Deva, I take it from prior statements that you wish me to deal with your zealots myself?
