Good morning Tom,

Thank you for stopping by yesterday. Attached is your receipt for the additional $1000.00 you have given us. We now have $1200.00 on deposit with us.

Thank you,

so this is the confirmation email I got yesterday I'll double check the #s but this is for the room and the deposit, I also have $400 in the Elohimfest savings account $200 for the wet-bar and $200 for other expenses (I will be editing this over the next 10 minutes). We are being served a fancy combination buffet at the cost of $50 dollars and some odd cents per person, I believe it's talapia/prime rib and chicken choices, salad, bread, vegetables, dessert, and I'm trying to keep 100.00 aside for SRD and, I hope, Jennifer. Everyone else needs to pay for themselves they can't run cards so the best way is to pay me by PayPal, send me you check or have the $ available in cash or check ready at the registry table outside our room at the hotel right before the dinner.

I've talked to my friend, Mike Swick, a very well known local cameraman for Quote/UnQuote and Free Speech TV here in Albq. and he should be getting me an estimate by Monday--I do not see it exceeding 300--he'll have a stationary and roving mike and the hotel will provide everything we need for dinner, a dais, a podium and two tables, one for registry and one for SRD's book signing. I still need help defraying a little bit more of the costs and helping with party expenses--like ice, propane, some booze and food--we, usually have two parties at my house-and a High Tea put on by Lady Tam, my wife. I just got brand a brand new cooler put on the roof and my patio and new raised gardens should be done in time.

I'm getting the exact current fees for the room and dinners within the next two days--they will probably be lower--so check with me in a PM or call me

That sounds good. I can also front some moolah for the bbq costs and the high tea treats.

Romeo, good thinking. The bbq pretty much is all day on Friday. The early arrivals generally go to breakfast as a group and then back to Danlo's to hang out and prep the food. People trickle in over the course of the day so it's not really very structured and quite casual. Bring beverages and if you wish a food offering is also welcome.

thanks Tom for the info. With just a bit over a month to go, details need to be surfaced. Its all coming quicker than one might imagine. My brain is already filling up with possibilities. ...food offerings Jenn..? Maybe a tub of my chili will just have to make the journey to Albq.

Thx Tom, will be in touch.

Will bratwurst or key lime pie be craved for either the bar-be-cue or high tea?

Bratwurst would be good at the bbq, and key lime pie for high tea....

Need to find an oven and mixer for the pie(s), but otherwise, I'm on it. :)

Our room supposedly has a full kitchen, but I have been through this enough times to not trust that there really is an oven.

No worries; as a former Scout leader, I can make an oven sufficient to pie-baking out of a cardboard box, a roll of foil and a bag of charcoal. As for a mixer we can probably either get what we need from Goodwill and then donate it back, or just fake it with elbow grease.

I'll let you hand beat the meringue, then...

Bringing this forward, since it's 4 pages back. The attendee list isn't current.

At the last e'fest I attended ('07,) I remember going on 2-3 runs to the liquor store throughout the weekend. That's probably a sure need again.

5 weeks til E'fest '14!

I'll get on it, dlb. Typing with one [left] hand these days. Makes me a bit slow.

Is HLT a confirmed or a tentative?

kvickie and friend are coming from Edgewood NM. I'm waiting for Chris (Debbie's asst.) to call me back--I'm going to seriously dicker over the exact room price and the dinner amt. It was 38. something but I added a 3rd option, that may have driven the price up--we detailed all this on Tuesday but I haven't received a comprehensive breakdown. Stand by

The dinner is Saturday night at the Airport Sheraton? What time does it "start?"

(yes, I did RTFM, but I couldn't find the info, and gave up after ten pages or so *grin*)

Tried to work it out, but my husband works at a small design company and he or the other graphic designer need to be there when the other is off. And, the other has already planned a holiday during that time. Too bad I didn't think of this meeting thingie sooner; would have liked to meet SRD and eat los tacos gigantes. Have fun. I'll be busy in Jelly School when I see the pictures and stuff, I am sure.

It would be good if someone could find the critical data and put it in the base post via edit or mod edit, or on the first page anyway, and keep it up to date. Or create a locked, non-discussion thread for same. Just a suggest.

We should probably get some sort of phone exchange going as well. I had a disaster with my old phone so I've lost a lot of watcher numbers so even if you think I have your number, text me with your name so I can re-add you to my phone or if you know I don't then pm me with your number and I'll pm you mine. Probably a good idea to pm Danlo your numbers as well. That will make coordinating before and during a whole heck of a lot easier.
