I have 1.19 posts per day.

And not likely to change significantly.

I feel like my average should be closer to 3-4. I don't delete that many of my posts.

I've been looking again at our search rating on Google and we're still on the third page. Sites with a lot less traffic and pages like: rank higher than we do. I know that Av says that it's all about links, and there is nothing very active about these sites that convinces me that they should be higher up than us.

"Do not game with us," Verement cut in. "What is your URL?"
"Among those who do not know me, I am named kevinswatch.ihugny.com."
Elena controlled Verement with a swift look, then said to the youth, "And how are you linked by those who know you?"
"Those who know me have no need of my URL."

I doubt the site will ever really grow again with SRD as the only attraction since he is done with the series he was mainly known for.

Ananda, despite your grim dispassionate Scandinavian prognostication of the ultimate doom of this site, I have to say that it is wonderful to see you back here again. I was worried that we'd lost you permanently. I know you've been back a while, but do you mind me asking what happened in the interim?

But I'm not here for SRD anymore - I haven't been for years. I'm here because of you guys. It's a fantastic place to hang out on-line. That's it's past and it will be it's future as well.

Exactly.

Besides, I expect there will always be new people first discovering SRD and looking for places to discuss his works.

All of the above plus the fact that SRD might still come out with something new and awesome. In fact, I would be surprised if he did not.

He told us at the 'Fest that he has a new fantasy novelette already written, so he'll either publish that next or combine it with a few short stories and put that out. Either way there's more to come :7up:

"Welcome to the Land" was last updated in 2006. "Stephen R. Donaldson Ate My Dictionary" was last updated in 2012. We have activity every day.

I would expect sites like Wikipedia and Amazon to always be at the top, but it seems like we should be able to move up to at least the second page.

Just one of your more endearing little quirks. ;)

:P

But seriously, are any of us ever done discussing?

I am not sure you mean 'endearing' in a good way there.
