actually you are quite right .. TCTC though an adult book isnt steeped in inappopriate themes .. nor bad language .. the Gap is a tale of a different kind
but TCTC is a solid and principled package .. even the rape scene isnt particularly graphic .. and it has its own ethical purpose within a broader framework exploring the complexity and dynamics of a humans 'humanity' ..
so I would tend to agree with you Furls .. maybe i can ease up on the 30+ restriction

BTW, when I read LFB for the first time at 15, I didn't even realize that he had raped her. It wasn't until Triock came upon TC and Atarian and shouted it out that I realized what had happened. Well, of course, I went back and re-read that part and it sunk in that it was rape. It's not that "obvious".

I love all of the kids' pics -- Dante is heart-meltingly cute! Vain's kids look wonderful! And Danlo's son is very handsome and sophisticated indeed!
