Have fun at the Renn Fest, Lorelei! We went last Sunday -- couldn't miss Pirate Weekend, arrr! And the crowd was down since the weather people were predicting Biblical-proportion rainstorms (which, fortunately for us, didn't materialize).
I am doing okay today. I went to a free concert at the Kennedy Center last night by Czechomor, billed as the most popular band in the Czech Republic. They were pretty good -- but nobody played a Czech bagpipe, which is what I specifically came to see. (I'm half Czech, which is why I would even remotely care about seeing a Czech bagpipe.)

Hey everyone! The snow elf reporting in!
Managed two days on Mt Hutt, caning my arse by falling off my snowboard too often (gawd, I'd forgotten how much you have to do just to get down the mountain in one piece.)
Today though, they forecast high winds (ie shit snow conditions - unless you like sliding around on ice) so I'm havin a lazy day. Trying to book an hour long horse trek, if they can arrange some kind of transport to get me to the horseriding place.
Still no Elves. Have they indeed all left Middle Earth for the West? *sigh*

Because I have to drive there this morning... and I have a feeling that I'll be able to catch up on any missed drinking over the course of the coming weekWayfriend wrote:Why aren't you out drinking? I'm wasted; my medication hits me hard on the weekend for some reason. I slept through most of the day and still feel tired. I should be fully awake soon. I hope.

But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.
Full of the heavens and time.
