Have fun at the Renn Fest, Lorelei! We went last Sunday -- couldn't miss Pirate Weekend, arrr! And the crowd was down since the weather people were predicting Biblical-proportion rainstorms (which, fortunately for us, didn't materialize).
I am doing okay today. I went to a free concert at the Kennedy Center last night by Czechomor, billed as the most popular band in the Czech Republic. They were pretty good -- but nobody played a Czech bagpipe, which is what I specifically came to see. (I'm half Czech, which is why I would even remotely care about seeing a Czech bagpipe.)

Slightly apprehensive, I'm leaving for my first year of university in less than 12 hours.

Why aren't you out drinking? Apprehension is God's way of saying "Have a mai tai".

Hey everyone! The snow elf reporting in!
Managed two days on Mt Hutt, caning my arse by falling off my snowboard too often (gawd, I'd forgotten how much you have to do just to get down the mountain in one piece.)
Today though, they forecast high winds (ie shit snow conditions - unless you like sliding around on ice) so I'm havin a lazy day. Trying to book an hour long horse trek, if they can arrange some kind of transport to get me to the horseriding place.
Still no Elves. Have they indeed all left Middle Earth for the West? *sigh*

I'm glad you're having fun! Please don't die

.... and good luck finding your elf! If you happen to find a man named Boromir, will you save him for me?

Don't worry. Look at it as the start of a grand adventure.

I'm feeling pretty good today. Had a great night. Did some "talking", got some things off my mind that I needed too. It's nice to wake up and not feel flat in the morning.

How does the 'other' person feel?
Of course if they are not a Watch brother or sister - it doesn't matter!!

Eh, the elves were all stuck up anyway. Maybe you could hook up with Faramir. Nice fellah despite his Daddy issues, and uber hawt into the bargain.

Because I have to drive there this morning... and I have a feeling that I'll be able to catch up on any missed drinking over the course of the coming week

I'm wasted; my medication hits me hard on the weekend for some reason. I slept through most of the day and still feel tired. I should be fully awake soon. I hope.

Hiay Warmark!

Hopefully it will be a relaxing weekend.
The ol' lady surprised me last night by calling the baby sitter and taking me out for coffee and sushi.
We got our car (minivan) back..only two thousand dollars to get the tranny rebuilt..I don't have a creditcard, so I had to use the bank of D.A.D.--will be paying him fifty dollars a week for the next ten months--that's on top of the Two hundred dollars month I pay the bank of D.A.D.I.N.L.A.W. for the next two years to actually buy the van in the first place.
