I've already been through my annual Christmas playlist:

The Season's Upon Us, Dropkick Murphies
Twisted Christmas, Twisted Sister
A Heavy Metal Christmas, Christopher Lee (yes, that Christopher Lee)

And I need new suggestions.

Ive been listening to a lot of ZZ-top lately. Working my way through their music pretty much Chronologically. Starting with ZZ Tops first album (yes that is the name) and ending at Eliminator which was for me the very last good ZZ-top album they put out.

Their more grungy stuff was the best. Rio Grand Mud, Deguello, Tres Hombres, and Fandango. By the end of El loco you can see they are trying to change their music to fit what was going on in the 80's with music. The last album I bought was Afterburner.... not all that great.

Shine On by The House of Love ...

is a song I heard on a Jukebox back in the 90's and always wondered who it was.
Stumbled across it the other day just by chance listening to the Norwegian band, Apoptygma Berzerk do a cover version. What goes round!

I liked their 1990 album Recycler, too. But after that one, I lost interest. I agree with you about Afterburner, SoulBiter: synthesized blues is just...weird.

So I watched this movie with Brad Pitt and Harrison Ford (should have been good, was very bad) and I heard this music playing in the background during one scene.

Tracked it down on IMDB.

Holy crap. What a good track. Reminds me (a lot) of "Since I've been Loving You (I'm about to Lose my Worried Mind)".

Can't stop listening to 2.3.5.41, the theme tune from the film the Signal.
It's an electronic music version of Bach's "Avi Maria".

What's not to like from a musician who can play a 20ft guitar!

The Deep Fix - Live at the Terminal Cafe

I didn't expect there to ever be a new Deep Fix album, and I certainly didn't expect one based entirely on The Second Ether trilogy, which is not among Moorcock's best known or most popular works. It is possibly one of the biggest influences on my own writing.
