I used to like the deep fried apple pies at McDonalds. They switched to baked and now I have one less reason to go there outside of the fact that I'm sick of it anyway.

Living next door to Kentucky I would say that the best pie is Kentucky Derby Pie.
Think of a pecan pie baked with chocolate chips in a shortbread crust, and you're close.... just need to add a little Jim Beam in with the vanilla extract.
Don't ask me why it works.... it just does.

New pie experience: Peppermint Candy Pie-----oreo cookie crust, bottom layer of filling is light chocolate, topped with a sweet-minty whipped cream cheese, with whipped cream and miniature peppermint-chocolate chips on top.
Heavenly [or mildly Satanic, if you read the nutrition information

Does cheesecake count as a pie? If so, pumpkin cheesecake, or chocolate cheesecake. Mmmmmmmm....

Mmm, could anybody of you paste here a nice and fairly general pir recipe here? I mean one that could be filled with various fillings. Pies are not very frequent over this end of the world, but I always liked them.

All this time, and no-one has given Amanibhavam a pie recipe? Bah!
Well, I can't help, sorry

My cooking skills don't extend to pie yet
Mmm, I've just been eating a mini pr0k, cheese and pickle pie... It was quite nice.
