Yeah; when the places I looked at say 'albums', they only mean Gish, Siamese Dream, Mellon Collie, Adore, Machina, and Rotten Apples. What they call 'B-sides and rarities' just happens to include every track from Pisces Iscariot, Judas O, Aeroplane Flies High, Earphoria, etc, etc (I believe they're not labelled in exactly the same way, but they're there).

Ah. That makes sense. I had just thought that Pisces Iscariot was always considered a studio album.

I was wrong:
April 5 marks the date that the entire Smashing Pumpkins catalog will be available in the digital domain for the first time. The band has been waiting and watching the regulation of digital music to ensure their fans receive proper access to the Pumpkins’ music in the most reliable and fair formats. The band has cranked out an impressive 227 songs in its 10-year existence. All the official album releases are here as well as 114 non-album tracks, including rare imports, long-out-of-print songs, obscure covers, soundtrack releases, vinyl-only B-sides and limited editions.

Thanks for the link Mhoram. I like it! I don't know if this was done with Robert Smith but I thought I heard influence from The Cure in there. I always liked the Pumpkins big sounds and dark tones and this comes a lot closer to that than the Zwan effort. Thanks again!

Brinn,
No problem. Nope this isn't the song with Robert Smith (that's the Bee Gees cover: "To Love Somebody"), but I can hear both the Cure and Pumpkins in there, I agree.
I think the song's really good, I had to listen to it a couple times and it grew onto me. Can't wait for the record.

You have to register to view, Mhoram. Don't suppose you could provide the details?

Syl,
Huh that's weird. I'm not registered. Anyway, your link has the same info.
Great, great news. If it's true, I'm friggin pumped (Pumpkins are one of my 3 favorite bands); nevertheless Corgan's solo career has begun - so enough new music from him for me to be happy.

I downloaded a bootleg of his show in Amsterdam, and it was excellent. Have a good time!

This might be of some interest.
I have a friend, who knows a guy, who talked to Jimmy Chamberlin at a Jimmy Chamberlin Complex gig recently.
This is what he (the guy who my friend knows) had to say about the conversation:
The line up of the new TSP? Well, JC says they'd like the orignal four to get together again. JC is still in touch with James but hasn't spoken to him about the Pumpkins reforming. He however doesn't see a problem with James re-uniting with the band. "Why not? It's not like the things people blow up right now in the media and all haven't been said in the studio, in hotels on tour, or on stage."
Timeframe for TSP? Early 2006 TSP will start recording a new album which will subsequently be toured for sure.
Which is pretty good news.
Although:
D'arcy? "Well, she's the million dollar question. I haven't spoken to her since she left the band in 1999, nor has Billy. Nobody knows what she's been up to and if she's even capable of playing with us again."
But maybe Melissa would still be happy to play... who knows.

Somberlain,
Great news.

I've read quite a bit about the Pumpkins reunion, and I bet Melissa or a totally new bassist will take D'arcy's place permanently. But hey, Billy and Jimmy, plus James, would DEFINITELY be good enough for me.
