Yeah, the Watch is all the online community I need or have time for really. I'm a member of a couple of other forums ("speciality" ones really) and on none of them do I have more than a couple hundred posts despite joining them all at the same time as the Watch (roughly).

Damn straight. :D The people from those days that I wanted to remain in contact with...I have. :D

I agree totally. In a weak moment, I joined classmates.com; the only "hit" I got was from an old boyfriend who I have zero interest in being involved with, ever again.

My kids are on Facebook but I'm not particularly interested. They post on each other's walls and all that stuff. I guess it's kind of a big deal to see how many friends you have and so on, and it's just another way to keep in touch with folks. I could see the value if I were, say, in college and had friends all around the country. But I'm kinda over all that popularity stuff.

Then again, I don't see the attraction of blogging, either. The point, again, of putting a bunch of personal info up on the World Wide Web for anybody to see? Or maybe the idea is to have your own private soapbox? (I suspect that nobody would be interested in my rantings, anyhow.... )

I found the Kevin's Watch group easily on Facebook by going to the list of Applications on the lefthand side of my Facebook homepage and clicking on Groups. I then entered "Kevin's Watch" in the upper right hand search box labeled "search for groups."

Alternatively, you can try this link: www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=4555587565

I have had a wee bit of trouble with facebook. A vid that I did not post on Jenn's wall was somehow credited to me, and it has been posting individual posts multiple times.

Well, the vid is gone and I fixed the extra posts.

Jenn! How did you get rid of extra posts? I had one post five times to Edge's Wall!! And it won't let me delete them from his mini-feed. ...argh!!!...

**sigh**

A Kevinswatch group on Facebook...that seems a bit weird to have a group dedicated to a forum, doesn't it?

Do you guys discuss the new novel and stuff?

He has to delete them for you, Menolly.

Yeah I now have a facebook page as well. It seems pretty cool... but don't just add me for the sake of it please... I probably won't accept any friend invitations unless I actaully know you in person, or have at least talked to you a lot.

If anyone would rather invite me, then have me contact you, you can find me via the kevinswatch group page.

I had facebook for a few days but i like myspace better. I asked my son, who lives on myspace, what he thought, and he preferred myspace too. Maybe it is just b/c we started out on myspace and are more familiar with it. Maybe I should give it another try.

I tried myspace and couldn't stand it. More of my friends use myspace than facebook, though.

I didn't like Myspace, either. I though Facebook would be the same but it is slightly different... just a quick way to know what ya friends are doing.
