No need to PM, but I'll put it in spoilers for anyone who hasn't read Runes...

The Mithil's Plunge is a waterfall... it's also shown on the cover of Runes. Linden, Anele, and Liand followed the Mithil upstream to it, where they pass behind it. No idea about a lake, it's not mentioned that I remember.
