Well, the first chapter of my novel is "Celestial Uncertainty," so maybe I'm just personalizing it. But, we're talking about opinions here, so I suppose that's appropriate. I guess I'm just admitting that I'm biased when it comes to words used for physics/astronomy combined with human emotion. Actually, I'm surprised I didn't make the connection before now.

That's perfectly fine for a novel, and it's even ok for the origina; short story, I just don't think it works for a Bond film. I doubt cinema audiences will connect with it at all. I'm sure it'll be changed by release.

I can see the cinema-goers now..."Yeah, two adults for Quan...what is it? Quantum of Solitude or something...The new James Bond one anyway. Thanks, mate".

You could make a long list of Bond movies which would be awkward or downright embarrassing to say when purchasing a ticket.

Two for "Octopussy," please.

One for "Moonraker" please.

Personally, I think the Brosnan era had the best titles.

Exactly. I like it as a title, just not as a title for this - and I both understand it and can say it. Most, as you suggested, will struggle. (I don't mean to sound arrogant, but I know from experience that most people don't get words)

Yeah, I've got high hopes for this. As I mentioned earlier, "Quantum of Solace" the story is actually my favorite piece of Fleming's writing. (Though it is the least Bond-ian). There's no way the short story itself would translate in to a big action movie, but if they can use some elements and the basic theme....... Very cool.

Hahaha. You've GOT to have worked in a theater before. I couldn't have said it better myself.

i bet that the title is quite fitting to the story and we'll all think it's way cool after we've seen the movie.

i am trying to be an optimist of late.

but anyway..i like the title.

Haha! No. But I've been in plenty of movie line-ups to have a chuckle at what the people in front of me were asking to see.

Haha. Man. I wish they had names like that when I"M working. I'd love to sell tickets to "Octopussy." SOOOO many embarrassed old people. After seeing a better description, it doesn't look as bad as before. Still, maybe not a Bond name, but not horrible either.

My vote for the best Bond movie title ever is Live and Let Die. Easily the best Bond song, too.

Do we need a completely absurd bond/batman crossover?

Similarities:
-playboy heroes (is bond rich? we can add rich to that right?)
-operate in secret
-fictional
-Had a recent film which:
+Reversed previous failures (I considered the last few bond movies pretty crummy, and batman and robin was bad)
-expensive gadgets

...Oh, dang, while trying to actually come up with evidence to support this bad idea I found someone else who knows stuff to do it for me. I guess it goes to show there's no such thing as an aoriginal idea anymore.

(I wasn't talking about bond and batman being similar, I'm talking about how someone else already got to the idea of listing how similar they are).
