The most interesting thing that has happened to me is reading this forum and seeing the other interesting lives of those who visit it. Heh.

Jogging will be my most interesting activity today, as it's so beautiful outside.

I'm impressed!! I'm only a white belt, but this class is fulfilling one of my PE requirements!
We didn't get thrown or pushed or anything, we were just learning the proper way to land, so it was a little easier.
The frontward rolls were fun too, except that you come down on the back of your neck, where I have a tattoo, that I just got touched up on Monday, so I couldn't do too many of them.

Which style of karate-do is being taught? Mine is an Okinawan style, called Shito-ryu, pronounced shdo-du. It has very little embellishments and is very fundamental in look. Belt systems are different in different styles but in Shito-ryu I'm holding at a blue belt with a white stripe. I am also an orange belt in bo, the staff.

We also learned how to land at white belt level. Balance on one foot and allow yourself to fall, landing properly. That was difficult enough for me to overcome, even at normal height. My hope is that one day I'll face my fear and return to training, being thrown and all. In the meantime, I practice kata and kihon to keep my skills up as best as I am able.

I've been working on building a web page for a friends softball league. I'd never really worked with HTML before, so it's been interesting trying out different things.

The most interesting thing I've done today is trying to decipher some of my 2 year old daughters speech.

I think my kids are gonna have an interesting accent, with all the different input they get - Scottish father, South African mother, Grandfather from Yorkshire.

And not just Glaswegian Scottish accents they hear at nursery, my Doric (Aberdeenshire) accent with totally different words in it.

The most interesting thing I did today was co-teach my judo class for the first time. We taught a few different mat techniques (mat holds and escapes mostly). It was a lot of fun.

I think the most interesting thing for me today happened at 4:00 am.

High winds shattered the trunk of a tree across the yard from Beorn's bedroom window. It missed his bedroom wall, which is where the head of his bed is, by about a foot.

*still slightly shaking*

The most interesting thing to happen to me yesterday was having my very first migraine aura. If you've ever watched Donnie Darko, you will know the funny thing that he kept seeing floating through the air. Well, I had one just like that. And I couldn't speak correctly, it was all garbled. It was pretty scary, but I was relieved that I was actually working in a doctors office. The staff took very good care of me, all the way to taking me back to an exam room so I could lay down.

I hope it never happens again.

I woke up and went to class.....this is turning out to be such an interesting day.....

Well...so far the most interesting thing is the maintenance man taking measurements of the broken window and finding out that yep, the a/c compressor is not working...

I made birthday cake for Batsutousai, who's turning 21, and then we ate it!!!!

Even though it is 15 days away, Hyperception and I are celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary by taking Beorn to see Blue Man Group, who are performing at the O'Connell Center tonght. We're all looking forward to it, but Hyperception and I are also holding our breath, as a co-morbid of Beorn's asperger's is Sensory Integration Dysfunction, and he is hyper-sensitive to loud noise. He has never once made it through the parade at Disney due to the crush of the crowds and the noise level, for instance.

However, he loved Stomp! when we took him to that a few years ago, so we have hopes of making it through tonight's performance...

Love the Blue Man Group. If you've not been before, there is something at the end that might bring a bit of claustophobia, but if you can sit in the very back, you should be fine. I don't want to ruin it for you as I found it very cool.

The coolest thing for me today was yammering on the phone with Lucimay, not just because Lucimay is cool but because she had interesting news about a fellow watcher relocating to the west coast.

I translated some runes this morning (honestly!), since then my day's gone downhill all the way.

Tomorrow and Friday should be fun though.
