You can have my portion of the grubshnickle stew, Waddley!

see...your outback Australian restaurant joint should have things like:
grub soup (or possum tail soup)
kangaroo roasts, crock steaks
oooh YABBIE TAILS!! ...they're to DIE for!
and pav!
Maybe I'll open my own bloomin' restaurant and stay permanently in the US of A!!!
But Jenn: now I've had lamb fries before...and...well...I'm figuring the rocky mountain oysters aren't of the ocean variety!

But you're right: it's a US tour so bring it on kiddies!!!!!!

I have the misfortune to know what a rocky mountain oyster is. It's no oyster, you're right about that.

I'm glad you clarified that. That's not pizza.

hehehehe...I'm glad you concur!

So say we all.
But I swear pizza was better when I was a kid. I don't know what happened. It's like Freihoffer's cookies. They used to be the most
amazing thing!! Then the family sold the company, and I guess the new owners figured they'd cut corners on the recipes. It seems to me the pizza places used to all make their own sauce. Now it all tastes exactly the same, as though one big pizza sauce company has a monopoly. If it was
good, I wouldn't be concerned. Very difficult to get good pizza here.

I think it's all the same sauce it's if the place adds their own spice to it that makes a difference and all too few do.

There are still places in Brooklyn I would make pilgrimage to for their pizza though.

It's still too early in the year for anything big, but this is what I found in the backyard about an hour ago.

aliantha wrote:Cag, are you thinking of the Denver Buffalo Co? I know there's one by the Denver Art Museum and one in, um, Georgetown? The girls and I went to the one up in the mountains once. I had me some tasty buffalo chili and they had, like, grilled cheese.
Or we *could* go to Casa Bonita....

(That's *not* a serious suggestion, btw. Altho everybody experience that place at least once.)
I was, but I was wrong. I just remember a buffalo atop their sign, but it appears to be Ted's Montana Grill, which I happen to know serves buffalo.
If it is pizza y'all want, I am known for my pizza making skills. I make two different ones - pepperoni, pineapple and cashew (but we could modify that for whoever doesn't want that), and BBQ Chicken pizza. Crust made from scratch, and the sauce on the pepp also from scratch, but I cheat on the BBQ. Plus I make some tasty calzones as well. I'd be happy to do that for at least one of the meals.
And I've had vegemite once and really enjoyed it. A prior girlfriend went to Australia and brought some home with her. I dug it.

I think I'm going to have to make my famous baked Mac & Cheese for the BBQ. I use a pound and a half of cheese in every recipe!
And we definitely need to introduce Sea to some American "salads"--the kind with jello and stuff in them .

uh...you're in charge of that green jello thingy with the freakin cottage cheese in it, lyr.

Heh. . . I don't actually make that kind, but there are some that are tasty, like Watergate salad.
