To be clear I was not intending to put the song down. I like it a lot. In fact it was one of my favorite "radio" new wave songs of that time. Most of the post-punk & new wave stuff I listened to barely made it to the college radio stations let alone mainstream. (Not that I am an elitist new wave snob, mind you...) Rather, my comment came from having watched an interview with Mr. Tutone only a few years back in which he said something to the effect that he felt an obligation to continue to tour since so many people never got a chance to see him and wanted to hear his classic hit. While he looked like a seventy year old Art Garfunkle he still had the rock star attitude and the same sunglasses on that he sported in the 80's. I got a chuckle out of it.
I guess I should have moved this to the music section.
Back to Jenn's phone drama. Sorry Jenn...

As opposed to Art himself, who only looks like a 66 year old Art Garfunkel.....

I'll send you my digits. They'll probably bleed a lot, so I'll probably have to put them in a plastic bag for you. Ziplock should suffice, I hope. What is your address again?
Would you care for an ear to go with that?

I'd like to know who doesn't know their own area code.
And are you able to look up area codes on a site that finds postal codes?
And what info do you have to enter to have a site pull up your area OR postal code? And if you can't remember one of those things, what are the odds you can remember whatever you need to enter?

First- The first page of this thread cracked me up!
Also, thought some might be amused to see this from Wikipedia:
a woman who had a 867-5309 number wrote:When we'd first get calls at 2 or 3 in the morning, my husband would answer the phone. He can't hear too well. They'd ask for Jenny, and he'd say "Jimmy doesn't live here any more." ... Tommy Tutone was the one who had the record. I'd like to get hold of his neck and choke him.
Secondly- (I know it seems that I should say "Second" for parallelism, but this sounds better, somehow.)
I took a look at this thread, and was disappointed to discover it looked like our "newb" is a dud. ahh well.
Thirdly-
