It's what the kids are voting for these days
There are some good bands in there. Now you have a list to explore, and might find a new band you like.
"Fall at your Feet" is a Neil and Tim Finn cover - you'd probably know that one. Although personally I prefer the original.

The votes? Mostly Australia - it's an Oz radio station, and songs that they play, so it's not an all-encompassing list. They do have a reasonable variety of music - sessions dedicated to particular genres - this list shows the most popular. You can vote next year if you like - I'll let you know when voting is open
Triple J had a bad period IMO but I have been able to listen to it in the last year or 2.

Muse
Kanye West
Gorillaz
Kings Of Leon
Those are the only artists on that list I've heard of. I've heard of Jay Z and Boy George too, naturally; they're featured on a few tracks on that list. I imagine that if I called up the US top 100 list, I'd find more artists I knew.

I wasn't too impressed by much music released last year..
there were only about 6 albums that really impressed me.
1 Grinderman 2 (Grinderman) - AMAZING rock by Nick Cave and most of the Bad Seeds.
2 Baby Darling Dollface Honey (Band of Skulls) Check out their song 'Fires'
3 Black Keys (Brothers)
4 Iron Maiden (The Final Fronteir)
5 Washington (I Believe You Liar) great band, kinda like Florence and the Machine, and this is a great album.
So they're the artists whom I voted for, and Washington and the Black Keys got up, so that's OK. Having said that "Magic Fountain" by Art v Science is a great track..

not particularly thrilled with that list personally (ha, I think I've whinged my way through this whole thread at various points !)
INXS & Acca Dacca, sure.
The rest ... well, as a matter of personal taste I'm not too enamoured with any of them.
Regurgitator's 'Unit' was ok, but I probably preferred 'Tu-Plang'
suprised that bands like the Church, the Go-Betweens and artists like Paul Kelly didn't get a mention.
I quite liked a lot of early Mental As Anything, before they went too poppy.
Divinyls were great too, I consider Chrissie Amphlett to be one of rocks great frontwomen ..
I really dislike Wolfmother, pretty sure I've mentioned that previously

- and Powderfinger I just find plain boring ..

He he!
I quite liked Powderfinger's Internationalist, but not so much Odyssey Number Five. I think that might be something to do with Bernard Faning - something about him rubbed me the wrong way, and I found their music tedious almost immediately afterwards
Silverchair had their moments (I prefer Neon Ballroom), as did The Living End. I also like Tu-plang more than Unit, but I did like Unit. I'm not a fan of the Presets, and if The Avalanches made it in, Since I left you would be my pick (but probably about number 95 on my list...)
Paul Kelly made it with Gossip. I love other albums of Paul Kelly.
It's an interesting mix...

I quite miss Elbow from that list, they are by far the biggest discovery of the past few years for me - but then they probably more suited to my demographics (between 40 and death and listens to BBC Radio2).

I never understood the appeal of Oasis... particularly "Wonderwall"... seems to be generic adult contemporary to me with whiny vocals a la Billy Corgan.
They're not bad, but it seems like they're put on this pedestal they did not earn... but that's off topic
