[tentatively raises hand]
How does one initially volunteer for a really cool thing such as this?
I've recently read TWL, and was waiting to start TOT so I could participate real-time in the group read. If you point me to a few examples, I might be able to take a short chapter in TWL if others' schedules are getting strained.

DukkhaWaynhim: If you want, you can do the next chapter. It would seem to be one most interesting for you! Chapter 17, Blood -Speed.
Really, as you've been posting in Dissecting the land, you should see that's it's quite simple. Just read a few previous read - leads, and you'll see that there's no wrong way to do it, everyone is a little different.
Just do an outline of the chapter, mention the highlights, your feelings regarding the characters, or place, and use a few pertinent quotes to help you along. PM me if you want it or have any questions.

Sorry, I too felt burnt out on Dissecting, so I've been on a bit of a break from it. I'm feeling a little recharged (hence the return of my normal av/nick/persona), so I can help out in the future, if needed. Feel free to PM me any time.

Dissection of The One Tree begins March 3rd. We're full up but there are a number of individual chapters the "read-leads" will defer to you if you want to get involved. PM me if you do!

I'm so behind in the Dissection of
The One Tree.

Gonna try to get into it as soon as I can. I miss analyzing the chapters...things have just been happening so rapidly for me lately in real life, I haven't been able to even read the lead ins

After two PMs and two emails I've come to the conclusion that Infelice must be too preoccupied in real life to do her dissections of The One Tree. Therefore I will push back the schedule again. However I must beg for either one person who can both of these chapters or two people, one for each. I would like to get them both done by the 11th if possible. These are the chapters up for grabs;
7 Elemesnedene an 8 The Elohimfest
I need any and all help I can get but I'd prefer that kastenessen, Joy and Damelon don't volunteer so we can get the first half done after that. We'll probably still have a break and I'll get all the read lead realigned after that. katenessen are you ready to go on the 15th? Please either let me know here if you can do it or PM me, thanks

If you're volunteering and you're already ssigned a chapter in the second half of the book I'll work to reshuffle you or open up your chapter to a new person.

I've redone the schedule again and am trying not to put the Dissection on hold due to lack of interest. I guess it's springtime and everyone's busy, but please help us keep Dissecting the Land going and put a quick response in at the more recent chapters. After all duchess just did The
Elohimfest which is the "lynchpin" chapter of the entire 2nd series!!!!

Covenant fans ha! You just come here to play games and socialize!

Sorry, danlo!
I sent you a pm (if it's working)
I'll be in full swing ASAP!

I was available but no one threw anything in my direction (no, no--put the shoes down please). But you're right, danlo. Maybe springtime has a lot of us enjoying the fresh outdoors and temporarily forgetting what a computer looks like. (Or so fed up with our workplace computers that we don't want to be near one at home?)

Don't look now but, in order to catch up with the schedule, a bunch of 'dissections' are coming your way: This weekend Matrixman subbed for chapter 13,
Bhrathairain Harbor, and did a fabulous job! By Tuesday night we'll have a 1st time ever special guest appearance by
Mr. Fixit doing The Sandhold and Don't Touch Me by Haruchai should be up by Wednesday or Thursday!

Then next week Seafoam Understone rights our
dromond and gets us back on track.

Only three chapters left in The One Tree and
two of them will be posted by this weekend followed by a masterful warp-up by the amazing Furl's Fire. Then we're taking a two or three week break.
But the signup list for The White Gold Weilder will be up around July 6th-4 or 5 chapters are already taken so PM me and keep your

(which is hard for TC to do!)
I'd like to, again, thank all the fantastic "Read-Leads" for their hard work and love of the books-and everyone who contributes-Dissecting the Land is
without a doubt the most intelligent and classiest forum on the Net. It's a group effort so everybody give yourself a big round of applause!!
