I loved the last film! I saw it last night. I can't really say it's the best though, nor the worst. They all rank the same in my book. The only thing that I didn't like about the film was Trinity's death, she was dying for so long. I was saying just die already. I mean that woman who got killed by Smith (In the real world) was only stabbed one with one little knife and she died very quickly; Trinity was stabbed about six times by great big metal arm thingies, and took ages to die.
I think that it is one of the best films of the year for me.

I really liked it. I think that's the way it had to end. I was loving the machine city, and hope the dvd will have more scenes of it.

Well, I knew my view about the Matrix sequels was in the minority here at the Watch, but that's okay. No one has lynched me yet, so I might still be able to get out of this alive.
I admit that I can get a little pretentious in my posts and start rambling on and on...I guess we all like to do our soapbox bit at some point and get it out of our system. I kinda went off the deep end with my Revolutions foaming-at-the-mouth rant. Sorry if I came off like a party pooper. I'm still the new guy here, so I should show a little more respect. I greatly enjoy reading posts by you, Fist&Faith, and by all the other veterans of the Watch, so I certainly don't wish to offend any of you.
I should've taken the blue pill and stayed in the Matrix. The real world (i.e. Zion) as depicted in the sequels is too yucky for me.

No you shouldn't have to apologise for being passionate about your opinions, Matrixman. I agree with you in priniciple; there are a few elements about Revolutions that make me furious too. I think the brothers failed on delivering worthy sequels to the Matrix, but nonetheless the sequels are very entertaining.

I agreed with just about everything you said, Matrixman.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Heh. I didn't take the slightest offense! I just like saying things like, "Don't sugar-coat it, give it to me straight."
I also agree with a lot of what you've been saying in these Matrix threads.
I think I liked Reloaded more than most, based solely on the visuals. Not that there weren't aspects of the plot and some of the dialogs that I didn't enjoy a lot too, but the fights were awesome! Neo vs Seraph is as good a 1-on-1 fight as I've ever seen. Neo vs the Smiths is beyond belief. I know the cgi-ness of it was too obvious at times, but even when you could see it, things like body-proportions and movement were correct. And Neo vs Merv's gang was amazing too! Ah, the choreography in all of them was fantastic!

You need to see Equilibrium, Fist.
