Ok, so I had a chat with some peeps who know Boston better than I do. They gave me 10 billion references. Give me until tomorrow to sort them all out so I can write a long, stupid post, and then we can have a vote.

I don't get out much and I'm a cheap bastard.
Going to Fridays suffices for me.
So I don't have any good suggestions, sorry.
Plus getting out alone without the the wife and kids requires me to sell my soul sometimes.
Once you guys settle on a time and a place I might invite myself though.
(trying now to remember if i've pissed off anyone on the list....don't think so.)

Mmk. So. I'm not entirely sure what everyone likes to eat or drink, I assume everyone loves beer, but I asked for pub type places. There are:
Rock Bottom - your usual pub type food, but it's also a microbrewery.
Beer Works - another pub type place that is also a microbrewery.
Emmet's Irish Pub - a nice, cozy little Irish pub. I have a soft spot for Irish pubs myself and this place is highly recommended.
The Beehive - this place is pretty expensive with more an emphasis on cocktails. I'm also told there's live jazz and amazing food.
The Black Rose - another Irish pub with standard pub food and brews.
Cuchi Cuchi - this place is VERY VERY girly, but was recommended anyway. Think early Hollywood glamour. A nice high class place for a martini.
JJ Foley's - yet another Irish pub.
And that was all the recommendations I got. I'm sure there are billions more places that are amazing in Boston.

P.S. - I am not a picky nor a very decisive person. So long as there is good food and a brew, I am very happy.

Hello? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
Did I make everyone's brain explode?

I'm in HLT's camp, sort of. Venue doesn't matter as much to me as who's there and have they beer. Of course, there's the take-Xar-someplace-nice angle. But how nice is it when you wait an hour to get in? Let's all go to Friendly's.

I don't know Boston very well, but I can offer that Xar might enjoy sushi...

East Coast Grill and Raw Bar?!?!? Anyone, Anyone?!?!?
Sushi sounds awesome to me but may not be everyone's taste (although it should be as nothing is more tasty!).

Sushi and plum wine is probably my most favorite dinner ever.
I looked up the East Cost Grill and Raw Bar beer list and I approve.

Not that I am going to be there but I knew I had the name mixed up, The Black Rose is the old Irish mafia pub I was thinking of....

The place sounds quite interesting, gastronomically speaking too

East Coast Grill and Raw Bar looks great, even if they don't offer sushi, according to the menu.
The
Sunday brunch menu looks great as well, if an evening doesn't work and y'all can swing mid-day on a Sunday.
Xar, the "grill" and "pit" options here look much more authentic than the dinner we had with Fist in Manhattan. Based on the menu, since I've never been there, East Coast Grill and Raw Bar gets The Galley mod's

should that make any difference.

Allright, the place sounds good

What about the day and time, then? Sept 11 or Sept 12 would be the available dates...
And that's for Boston; but I haven't heard anything about meeting in Mystic and/or NYC. I know Fist is up for both, but who else is there and where?

I can only do Boston.
Supposedly I'm doing some paintball Sept 11, but I guess that's still tentative.
Sept 12 would probably work best for me, any time.

Ok, then let's say Sunday, Sept 12th for the Boston meeting.
Still nothing from the Mystic/NYC folk? I'm flying to New England in 9 days, I might use knowing who, when and where to meet before I do - I won't readily have internet access all day long once I'm there
