I've said it before and I'll say it again... are we? HUH? are we huh?
I (politely ask) want in... doesn't matter what chapter I get...

Question is are we gonna get a seperate BB for the dissections? Me thinks it may be a good idea... to keep things focused...

I wouldn't mind getting in on this, either, if it's still on :)...been reading the dissection of TC, and I'm willing to dissect anything that needs dissecting *holds scalpel ready with a grin*

Iryssa, if you're anxious to dissect something, do you want to grab a copy of THE MAN WHO KILLED HIS BROTHER? It's a mystery, but usually stocked with SRD's other books in the sci fi section. We're in the Reed Stephens forum.

Hellfire no!!!! Don't do it. Life is too short to squander it on Harry Potter.

The reason I like dissecting SRd stuf is because of the philoshical refernces and religious imagery contained in the stories. While there is something freudian about potter, I'm not sure there is much to dissect?

Don't get me wrong, I love Potter. The characters are greatand JKR is a great storyteller and wordsmith, I just don't know how much there is to dissect?

btw, SNAPE is the deepest, most complx character of all.

Have to agree with Gunslinger there, I mean you can only get so indepth of HP, but you look at Donaldson, Martin, Erikson, there is plenty to dissect, multiple story lines, philosophy and politics satire thrown in....not much to do that with here. Cheers.

I agree. Harry Potter is a cheese sandwich. There's a little extra bit just out of sight inside, but what you see is pretty much what you get :P

HP is easy reading. 1000 pages by Rowling took me less time than 300 by Donaldson. Therefore, I like Donaldson more. But, still, I think HP is a nice break. :)

I too am unsure whether there is enough to HP for a dissection. I've been looking for a place to post this comic without upsetting anyoneLooks like I've found my spot! It pokes fun at some of the more naive aspects of the series.
