I have mentioned them here and there and started an old thread on them-I'm a major Camel-head but, no, they never toured in the US and aren't well know here-they're still fairly well known in the UK, Andy Latimer is one of the greatest guitarists alive, Peter Bradens was a ground-breaking keyboard visionary while he was alive-and Andy Ward is simply, well, one of the craziest and most talented drummer ever.

I read recently that The Grass Roots was never a real band. Just whatever studio musicians and singers they felt like rounding up at the time.

Don't know if anyone added Bloodrock yet.

There were a few "bands" that are/were loose aggregations of various people who'd come together to tour. I knew a band from Birmingham (JALN Band) who were made up of about 16 musos, all session guys from local studios. In fact a few name bands do this too, Yes being an occasional example.......
