The second to last show was probably one of the best Zombie/Dead things I've ever seen.
And I think based on some of my Zombie stories here I can say I'm pretty hardcore about Zombies.

The 1st season was great.
The second kinda sucked, more of a soap opera with Zombies but the 2nd to last show......man, it just took every little fragment that I found boring in season 2 and took my head off with it.

Something about that shot in the field........awesome.

Last show was great too.
Lori needs to die.
What a bitch.

Lori really needs to die, selfish bitch.

I'm ecstatic that they're off the farm and don't have that damn RV anymore.

What I did during the second season of The Walking Dead, by T-Dog
Well worth the read.

Mostly, I thought the second season was pretty damn weak. Sure, I'm glad Dale and the RV are gone, but I'll miss the farm even less. Good riddance to Shane as well, though I was pleasantly surprised they capped that story so soon. I'm hoping that Rick (a tolerable hero for the lead, but barely) is just dealing with some post-fratricide angst rather than taking on Shane-like characteristics. It would be nice if both Lori and Jr. bit it (funny, I've never rooted for a kid's death before), but the former is protected by the pregnancy shield and the latter still has at least 6 more lives to go. Had about enough of Carol, too. Really, it could be just Daryl and Glenn and I'd be alright.

But the barn scene, the bar, the field, and the fall of the farm were good. Let's see more of that.

I hope the baby dies in her womb, reanimates and eats its way out of Lori killing her in the process. Hopefully all that happens while she's driving 60 mph on a side street, hitting a pole and sending Carl through the front window into a wood chipper.

I was just thinking, as Rick told everyone they were all infected, she better not miscarry that fetus. I wonder how many episodes, given the pace of the show, it'll take to get that baby born.

I just finished watching all 13 episodes, DVR'd since October, over the last 3 days. That's the best way to watch a zombie soap opera.

As for Rick and Shane, Lori was a freaking instigator. It wasn't bad enough she buzzed warnings in Rick's ear, but then she pushes Shane's button one more time, just to make sure someone gets dead.

But Lori's not stupid. She's just written that way.

Btw, has anyone has made a montage of all the skull-crunching shots, with some appropriate music?

 I'm laughing like a madman now, and nobody at work has a clue why.

 Still laughing. I may pass out, or collapse a lung, if I don't stop soon...

Season 2 was very weak, but definitely ended on a high. Shane lost his marbles about 3-4 episodes before the finale, but up to that point, he was the strongest character and most realistic. I'm sad to see him gone.

Loved the final pan to show the prison!

I enjoyed them both. The second one was really stuck in a crappy situation.

Just saw S2 E7. ("Barn scene") Wow. That was one of the most complex, multi-layered, poignant things I've ever seen on TV. Massively enjoyable.

I almost put this series to the side half-way through the S1 E1 when it seemed rather boring. Glad I didn't.

Ep 2.07 was the mid-season Cliff hanger finale, and yea, that last scene was intense. Many folks thought the wait for it was too long, but, IMHO, it wouldn't have had the impact it did, if so much time hadn't been used to build up to it. The second half of the season (2.08 - 2.13) picks right up from there, and those who complained about the first half moving too slow, were much happier with the second half of the season, so, it only builds from there. Ep 2.13 in general and the Season ending cliff hanger specifically is also, quite intense.

If you don't mind minor spoilers, or are familiar with the Comics, you definitely want to check out "The Talking Dead" (After-show analysis) for ep 2.13 to get a small glimpse of what's coming in S3 (Which will be 16 episodes)

Another interesting development. I had occassion to watch The Mist (2007) last weekend. All the Walking Dead connections were very entertaining to spot.

Pick an episode, and then choose the VK player. It's clean with no spyware. Beware the other players, though. They might make you pony up.

I just watched all 72 episodes of Dexter in just over three weeks.

They have many other series, as well. :D

So, what's everybody thinking about the new season? I'm actually kind of impressed. It's still not perfect (by which I mean it has some obvious faults), but I find myself consistently looking forward to the next episode.
