The more I think about it, and in light of what the prophecy says, I actually think Harry will survive... or at least not die by Voldemort's hand.

i now have a very sneaking suspicion that Hermione will die in book 6...i think we all know she said that a major character would die in book 6(well, yeah, and book 7)...but...i think that shes just sitting back, listening to all the "will harry and hermione be together or will ron and hermione stuff"....all the while planning to off her in one of the most horrendous ways possible...

:::gasp!:::

Bite your tongue! (or in this case, sit on your hands...)

Rowling also considered Sirius Black a 'major' character when she killed him off. I, for one, felt otherwise. He may have been major in Harry's POV, but I never saw him as a major character like Harry, Ron, Hermione, or even Neville.

Now, with that definition, I could see it being someone like Molly Weasley or maybe even Dudley...

Actually, I like that line of thought. A twist of all twists...

Nah, poetic justice would be for Snape to survive while all of the people Harry loves die. I'm thinking it's going to be a Weasley, Dumbledore or maybe Neville. My money's on a Weasley.

A Weasley sounds good, but I'd be impressed if Harry died. The Chrons gave me a strange appreciation for authors who have the guts to kill their main character. (Although...)
