Kind of fuzzy but I got it!!!!! Holy crap my arm is hairy!
I may try it again tonight with better lighting and a steadier hand.
Had to use my cell phone.

Enough about my watch....

Happy 11-11-11 at 11:11:11 (EST) KEVINSWATCH!!!!!!!!

After 11:11:11pm it will be very difficult to imagine being around for the next one so live it up folks!!!!

It is a privilege and an honor to be a member of this group and I want to thank you all for being so cool. :-)

BTW I'm composing this post 30 minutes prior so I'm ready to hit send at the appointed hour. I hope I don't zone out.
Of course all of this time stuff is all relative to where I am and what my computer clock is showing.
And yes I cheated a bit. I realized that I hadn't reset my watch for daylight savings time so it was still set an hour ahead which was perfect for getting the pic ready in advance.

Happy 11-11-11, you guys! I can't think of another group of pixels I'd rather spend this moment with. 8)

Not to be a downer...but here in the US (and elsewhere, I guess) it's Veterans' Day. It was originally called Armistice Day, for the armistice that was signed this day, ending WWI. So, ahem:

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

And thanks to all you vets. 8)

I'm on my way to a Global Occupy event at Robinson Park at 11-11-11-11:11 & 11 seconds MST--hopefully I'll be less grumpy towards the world by then--I will carry the Watch in my heart, as I always do, to that place.

Here we go again. They say a broken clock is right twice a day and so it is with me. Happy 11.11.11 for another few minutes at least.

100 posts and a month of residency when many have been here for almost a decade and are cruising towards 50,000 posts! Still, that doesn't seem to matter so much here and the fact so many of you have been around for so long speaks volumes about the spirit of the Watch, as does your welcome. I keep expecting to wake up to a sea of n00b flaming, realizing with sadness the welcoming nature of this place was all a dream. In the meantime... :bestwishes:
Then, again, some of us have been here for at least a decade (if you count the original board) and aren't even close to 50,000 posts. :P
Hi MsMary, must be the lack of Mallorys in your Watch diet! ;)
Nah, it's just a lack of time. ;)

I was logging in 11/11/2011 on computer files all 11/11/2011 and it never occurred to me that one might actually take it to the second hand for a celebration. That's what I get for not being much of a gen disc'er.

I'm not sure you should be making up your own calendar.
We saw how it worked out for the Mayans.
I'm just saying. :D

I discovered once using a big felt pen so you hear it writing that, if you write 12 november out as numers with a dash between, you get a little musical.

Write 12-11
No curls on the two, though. Write it as shown here.
