I dunno, I thought it was kind of two dimensional. ;)

Lol, you should have seen some of the images my google search returned for 'squashed' 8O. Had I attached them, now that woulda been heavy! Also, I may have been banned. Also, you may have thrown up your breakfast. Or whatever mealtime it is where you are.

But yes, perhaps Death Row, executions and pass-the-death-parcel are a little heavy. How about a game of 'he loves me, he loves me not'. If you're still pulling petals off your flower when Foul comes, you have to go to your room without your supper! AND Mummy is twenty minutes late tucking you in.

And  MsMary

Easy for you to say. Spend a day in a thread's shoes and you might change your tune. One minute you're being fed and lots of people are coming to visit, looking at you and talking to you, then all of a sudden the lights go out and you never hear from another soul EVER again.

You must have a heart of basalt if you can't feel the thread's pain.

So here we have a supposition that a thread is a vaguely human-shaped entity able to pull on footwear. However, what if we're dealing with something entirely different, like a rectangular object existing only in two dimensions? How do you then spend a day in its shoes? :?:

Behold, thread shoes:

But seriously, you have raised an important philosophical question. I do hope someone answers it for you. In the meantime, more shoes!

Say...isn't that just what would have happened [only the bad guy wins] if TC had struck down LF?

Not mad...just terribly disappointed.

Where is Chaosbad, anyway? Did we chase away another newbie?

Quite possibly. (Where's the "looking toward the horizon" emoticon?)

Yes and no. But mostly no because Obi-Wan wasn't the bad guy, the guy in the helmut was. ;)

And it has the advantage that if you fall in the water while you're busy looking, you won't drown.

#5 looks approximately like the right model. Maybe a thread can sort of roll itself up and hop in, albeit that in this case, the simile would require a singular form: "Spend a day in a thread's shoe."

Also, we're not mad here, we're analytical.

That's why I said "only the bad guy wins."
Obi-wan [good guy] to Helmut [bad guy] says "Kill me, I become superpowerful"
LF-[bad guy] get's struck down by TC [good guy], becomes even more superpowerful [b-bye, arch].

Next topic: BTW, a thread rolled into a cylinder still can't wear a shoe...though it could glue on a prosthetic foot and then don the shoe [if you gave it some robotic hands to do so. You could do it for it, but that's just bad thread parenting, they need to be self-sufficient.
Don't go running to comfort them every time they cry either...it'll just become another whiny, self-righteous, entitled thread like so many others.
Obviously, it is already well on the way to that anyway. Never learned to spell its own name properly. Probably some stupid molly-coddler tried using that freaking dumb-ass "Hooked on Phonics" method.

I will lock this thread. I will lock it like the Whore of Babylon it is. But I won't give you people the decency of a warning. Your lives in this topic need to be cut short and snuffed out. So I will let you build your little brick walls here, your little empires of dirt that destroy the genetic superiority of my forum.

But don't think for a moment that it will last; that I will just join in or decide it's harmless.

It's not. People are dead. Gerald R. Ford DIED. My nation's greatest head-hunter is gone and you people are gooning it up.

I WILL STRIKE BACK.

When this clock hits 12 hours everything will be gone.

Wait... Gone?

Not just Locked?

We don't get to look at it's corpse forever more (Or until it drops off the page cliff) to remind us of what we lost and make us Despair?
