Daamn dude that's gnarly!

Hey this might seem like a really silly suggestion given the heaviness of your tone, but you should totally watch this anime called "Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann". Well maybe anime isn't your cup of tea but then again maybe it is! I genuinely believe this show can change someone's life.

Anyway, good luck! What do you plan to do after you lose the house? Got somewhere in mind to rent or...?

btw the house is definitely not your heart... here Imma take a symbolic boxcutter here in my hand. You see it? It's hella sharp. Now I'm grabbing your heart with one hand, your house with the other, and with my third hand I'm slashing the fuck out of that symbolic link. There, done. Cleanly severed.

I do watch anime, or at least I did until a couple of years ago.

It's funny that you should bring it up, because I recently watched some anime stuff online, and it made me recall how I used to feel when I watch anime.

A lot of anime stories involve overcoming defeat, becoming stronger. Every time a new, bigger challenge comes along, you rise up, become greater than what you were, and face it.

I thought to myself: I wonder, if I had still watched anime, would I have been so utterly defeated six months ago? Not that anime is magical or anything, but I did draw a lot of inspiration from it.

For instance, it's hard to watch something like DBZ or Bleach, where "training" is such a big theme, and not want to go work-out and exercise, get in better shape. Which I haven't done in well over a year. In fact, I am at least forty pounds heavier (fatter) than I've ever been in my life. I can't walk ten feet without getting winded. Fitness has always been a part of my life, but I just don't care anymore.

And besides the fitness point, watching characters who simply refuse to be defeated can be encouraging.

Then again, maybe I don't get into anime anymore is because I am too disillusioned. I know life in't like that.

But I'll check out "Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann". Is it something I can stream?

Yeah it's on netflix or animefreak.tv if you don't have netflix and don't mind lower quality video.

And yeah my friend made his shed into a powerlifting gym and the walls are full of posters of Goku and Saitama hahaha
