Wish I could be there to whip her up some tempting treats. Give her a big hug and kiss from me again, and one for yourself and give Sonny some enthusiastic ear scritches as well. Love you guys.

linna - got her to eat one hamburger patty with mac and cheese. felt good she ate that much.

jenn - Sonny has decided i need to scratch his face as of late. esp his eye (they are getting crsuty in his old age) he demands it. kind of nasty - but the things we do for those we love.

a lot of people who know me can't believe i can take care of people so well. i did it for my dad as he died then took care of my mom and brother for two weeks after that.

i took care of julie after her hystorectomy and now this. i must really love her.

of course i take care of Sonny no matter his ailment...

I just wanted to sign on and thank everyone for the kind words, prayers and wishes. It still hurts a lot. Worst surgery experience I have ever had - and I've had a c-section in 82, removal of an ovary& fallopian tube in 92, a hysterectomy in 04.
I feel like I have been knifed in the back. I'm still real shaky. Going from freezing cold to sweating. Nausea is a lot better, but still not much of an appetite, but I drink a lot of fluids. It hurts like heck to cough, hiccup, sneeze, etc...
Dennis is a wonderful caretaker. I married good because he will do a lot of things that other men simply will not do. There's a lot to be said for a man who loves you even in the worst of times. He is always trying to do for me.
I was placed on the 12th floor of the award winning Methodist Hospital in Houston. The 12th floor is the urology floor and all of the rooms are opulent with dark panneling, oriental carpeting, a sitting area, and a dining area (all in my room) and a cooking staff ready to prepare whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted. The nurses and CPAs were all very sweet and helpful. When a call bell was pushed, they came right away. I was treated like royalty. It turns out that the unit was built for royalty. I could not have asked for anything more.
But I am so glad to be home and locked in with Dennis and Sonny. Dennis does it all - making sure I eat and take my meds, cooking, dishes, laundry, etc...And the first couple of days, my wound would lead profusely and had to constantly wash sheets, blankets, pillow cases and even pillows. I am a lot of work. But he never complains.
I am so thankful to have you all on my side! I will never, ever forget the love that I feel from you here on the board. And while I very rarely post I do think of you all and I hope to see you all sometime this year for another reunion. I send you all much love and gratitude! XXXXXXXXXXXXXXOOOOOOOOOOO

Sorry your recovery has been rough, but, at least it's progressing. Good to see you're well enough to post. Hope your recovery continues and you are out of discomfort soon.

That great news...hang in there and remember it's not forever! My momma is super sensitive to meds as well and I had to keep comforting and reminding her they were helping and that it wouldn't feel like that forever... much love to both of you.

When you feel better, you should definitely consider faking it for a while.
