I'm not a tennis followerb but I understand that in the fair number of Matches that Murray and Federer have played, Murray leads in the number of wins. This Olympic win was then, not certain but at least a good probability - and well done to Murray for it. it would have been nice to have taken the Wimbledon title on this of all years as well, but i'm guessing of the two, this is the one Murray would have wanted?

Until yesterday they were equal - 8 wins each, but now Murray is one up on Federer. He really wanted Wimbledon, and hopefully next year he will win it. Over the last week he has been awesome - beating both Djokovic and Federer (the world number 2 and 1 respectively) in straight sets. He was hungry to win and losing wasn't an option. It was so good to see him smiling so much

I just witnessed another GB gold in the men's triathlon. Another insane event where the athletes give all they have! Incredible!

I should cross post this elsewhere, too but:
Hee Hee! Romanian gymnast just did floor routine to Floyd "Shine on you crazy diamond." Way cool...great routine, too, until the last [literally very last] moment.

Oh, I hope I get to see that tonight!
I heard the music playing during one of the past events, either qualifying, all-around, or team, but I don't think the coverage I've been watching ever showed the routine.

Regarding the results of womens floor: while Raisman had a technically more difficult routine, her artistry and dance was no where near that of the 24 year-old Romanian gymnast. I love Raisman's routine to Hava Nagillah, but the lines of the older Romanian were simply gorgeous. I totally disagree with the results of the judging.
I miss the more artistic element to the womens floor routine; it has been phased out more and more over several games. They may as well drop the music and have it focus on tumbling runs like the men do, at this point.

The Paralympic games have begun, and if you want to see the power of the human spirit, get a load of this!!
There are some amazing stories involved here too - tv coverage is more limited though, unfortunately.

I'm not a fan of Fox News, but at least they are reporting on the lack of television coverage in the US.

ABC and ABC2 are showing some - it's a good coverage too. Man, I thought the Olympics was emotional - THIS is just too much for an old softy such as I!!
