Last night I dreamed that SRD invited me into his house for a chat, and we sat in the garden talking about the Chronicles. I asked some questions, and his answers were always very cryptic - he'd draw a diagram or something that made me think, and then relate that to the chronicles so I had to basically figure the answer out myslef. That seems pretty consistent with what I know of him 8) I don't know what I asked, and I don't remember the answers, all I know is one of the questions was something about Mhoram, and I wrote "Mhoram" on something in pink marker :? And the answer to the Mhoram question involved trying to spot a pattern in apparently random smudges of black paint on a wall :?

It was quite enjoyable, all in all 8)

I have the world's stupidest reoccuring dream... Last night I dreamt that I found some mascara with my friend's nickname written on it. I was going to buy it for her but it was broken... The end.

Any old way, I had this weird dream that reminded me a lot of Kill Bill. I guess because there was a crazy samurai in it. Anyway, I had to face him for some inexplicable reason in a fight to the death. In a huge empty arena. But of course. Naturally, I kept postponing the fight--the random rain check and such. It eventually happened, though--no totally stopping it. But since I never die in my dreams, I woke up the second before his first swing. Lucky me!

A couple weeks ago I had this dream about my mom and dad who are both passed on. I could see them vividly and feel them when they were close....
they were laughing as if something were just hilarious. It seemed contagious and I started laughing as well. Mom was behind a counter like a kitchen bar, and Dad was across the room "fixing something " in his hands.....something small and soft was thrown at me, and I turned to look in his direction, and he was laughing so hard as he said, "hit her with it!" I turned back to Mom and saw her holding an open plastic bag of cinnamon sugar donuts. He repeated "hit her with it" and said, "We keep those in here to hit people with." and they both broke out in fresh laughter as if it was the funniest thing ever.
You would have to know my Dad to know how funny this could actually be. He was a nut.
I woke myself up laughing. Never done that before.
It still felt funny for about an hour or so.

A couple of days ago, I dreamed I was Spiderman. That's about it really. Did some swinging, some other Spidermanly stuff, but nothing too thrilling.

I recently had a dream featuring Darth 8O He was skinny and kind of gangly.

I feel like replying to the old posts on this thread, hehe. As far as Carlos Castaneda goes, I've read one of his books...can't remember which, but that wasn't the one...I'm also frequently able to control my dreams, though, when I do, I rapidly become "tired," and the moment I fall asleep in my dream, I wake back up in reality. Of course, this sometimes creates the odd sensation of trying to "wake up" so that I can go back to sleep after I've awakened myself this way...and sometimes it actually works, hehe.

I don't remember many of my dreams, but the really weird ones tend to stick in the memory. Two in particular spring to mind:

I'm walking through a great expanse of countryside, and I am surrouded by a 'cloud' of winged monkeys (simian bats is the correct term, I believe). Whenever harm is about to befall me, the monkeys swoop in and cling to me, forming an all-over protective monkey shield.

In the other dream I was navigator on one of the BT Global Challenge Yachts, which in itself is nothing out of the ordinary. This particular yacht was skippered by ex-England football manager and all-round mentalist Glenn Hoddle. We experienced fairly plain sailing until we recovered a girl I knew from primary school, Stephanie, clinging to wreckage. We moored up in Monace, and then me and Steph were then chased by Ben Kingsley. He chased us up a mountain, and we had to slide down the other side on a tray. Unfortunately we slid straight through Whissendine village fete, over turning a number of tables and disrupting Luciano Pavarotti's performance. Everyone looked at us in disgust.

From this point things get really weird. Kingsley, Hoddle and Pavarotti each mustered an army and marched towards a small military-looking complex where they were going to engage in a three-way battle. I knew that there was a bomb in the complex somewhere, and I had to find it and disarm it (I actually did this in a Metal Gear Solid style). After defusing the bombs I ran from all three armies and into some nearby woods, where some friendly goblins helped me to escape.

In the dream it was actually quite pleasant. The monkeys were warm and soft, and somehow didn't get hurt whilst protecting me.

A real-life monkey shield would be dirty, smelly and full of lice.

Mr Wickham fits that description quite nicely.

Last night, I had a series of strange dreams featuring Watchers such as Ur-Vile, Emma, Variol Son, Claire (heh) and even SRD himself.

The first dream was set in a slightly odd casino/restaurant hybrid, and appeared to be gangster themed. There was some talking. It wasn't very interesting, and I don't remember much about it. It should be noted that Emma looked like her avatar in this dream, but was married and spoke with a thick midlands accent.

The second dream involved driving around a broad stretch of grassland in a Jeep, searching for SRD's house. We found some enormous, decaying shells of vehicles and such, in a post-apocalyptic fashion, though there appeared to be no particular reason for that. All the houses were those slightly unnerving deep south wooden shacks, and they were simply dotted around the landscape, with no discernible roads or tracks in sight. In this dream, Emma was blond and looked vaguely like Renee Zellweger, though this has only occurred to me with hindsight - I wasn't aware of it in the dream.

The third dream was in a block of flats (or apartments - I deliberately kept saying "apartments" in the dream because it appeared to be in America) and there was an unpleasant man in tiny sunglasses, accompanied by several vicious dogs, hunting Claire 8O I managed to keep him out of the building by bracing myself against the only door, only to discover Claire had been sent outside by someone (who was clearly not important enough to receive an identity) and I had to get outside and try to fend of these dogs while she sat in the alley beside the building, in a sort of swoon, with assorted younger teenagers huddling nearby. As is often the case with my dreams, I had to relive the "braced against the door" scene - the first time, nothing came of it, it was only the second time that Claire was in danger and I had to protect her.
In this dream, Emma looked a lot like Duchess, and had little involvement other than walking away round the corner when the dogs showed up.

Throughout all the dreams, Claire was the only one who actually looked like herself.

Strange dreams :?

Just kind of milling around, most of the time. I think you were driving the jeep though.

I plan tonight to dream about Keeley Hawes. She will take me to a deserted island and we will post on KW.

I've had a lot of sexual dreams lately, maybe b/c thats whats on the mind. ;-)

Anyways, I dreamt about a really good looking girl but I don't recall her face or what she looked like, just that vague sense that this girl is smoking , and she was in the shower and she called me in, and then I went into the shower with my clothing on, and it gets all intense and sexual in the shower, I can feel her giving me a back massage, and BAM, right when its getting good, the stupid alarm goes off. Piece of crap machine, reminding me to get to work, ah well, it was a nice dream, cheers.

I had a strange dream the other day while taking a nap after work. I was walking with a friend of mine (an Air Force buddy of mine I haven't talked to since he left England), and I saw a guy walking up in the sky. And I said something like, "Holy s***, Josh, look at that!" But he just kept walking and talking like nothing was going on. Then I saw an old lady, on a moped, I think, again, in the sky. I tried yelling at her, but she just gave me the finger. I think there were more, but those were the only ones I remember. I had the impression they were all headed for the afterlife. What relly got to me was when we walked up to this main road we'd been walking towards, and there were a bunch of cars around and a big blood stain on the pavement. So then I pick my car up, move it around to the other side of the road, and get ready to leave... and I wake up
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I had a very strange dream last night. I dreamt that everywhere I went there were huge wasps crawling out of holes in the ground. They weren't actually attacking me but as I don't like them when I'm awake, I wasn't too happy about this asleep.
At this point I met my former boss, who told me that he'd become an insect exterminator. He''d also dropped 10 years and gained a 70's hairdo for some reason (sorry Ken, vagueries of memory I guess!). Anyway, he started dropping a clear liquid into the holes, which the wasps didn't like at all.

I think I need to lay off the cheese!
...but in the morning, I will be sober
