Sorry. This is beyond me. I don't get it. There are too many people who really need to be insulted to waste time playing games at it.
Of course you don't get it. Insulting people who really need it is like shooting fish in a barrel, you dork. [or, as the old joke goes, a real masochist says "hurt me." a real sadist answers, "No." ]

Not as dork as Io, who has failed to realize her "Friend" is constantly asking self: "Just how filthy and offensive do I have to GET before that (*&(*& (%*^% LEECH Io STOPS ASKING ME FOR RIDES! "

Not to mention that references to "Rocky Horror" should be left to the pro's [like Vader], no matter how dynamic your "tension" is, Eff.

More seriously [if you choose] I apparently push buttons without even knowing it, as if I had verbal fingers of independent and malicious will...and have a bizarre combination of one button connected to everything and infinite buttons connected to nothing.

And for christ's sake <---[notice: how some will think insult to atheists, some insult to jesus, some think it should at least me capital "C" and "J" for fuck's sake], why not insult "The Close"...yea...is that "don't come here if you value your sanity?" Yes... and no - to both of you. Hashi, the thing is that I know that you know exactly the person on this avatar even if you don't know that you know

And, Io, perhaps you could use positioning your screen differently, some have very specific angles they're good at.
Iolanthe wrote:Did they have syringes like that in the 1880s? Mind you, they were vaccinating for smallpox in the 1860s so they must have had something.
An Internet search returns many fun pics of old medical torture devices  and the information that syringes were used in Roman times and the ones with hollow needles able to pierce skin were developed in 1853.

Well, of course they do, and chest hair. What are you, being a fricking moron??? This is exactly why we prefer huge, burly men that can wrestle bears with their bare hands, and go avanto swimming in -40C frost. A man must possess more balls than his cavewoman.

And this almost sounds as if I'm some FBI/CIA/KGB/MIB agent/creepy stalker/all-seeing monster/etc. Not like I can guarantee I'm not any of those, but don't you think I should know about you what you told me?

In case that's your concern, the person on this avatar is not someone you know personally - but after what you said on the Watch earlier I almost expected you to recognize him, though he's quite a chameleon.

Naah, I wasn't saying anyone was angry about this thread...

You ask who is considered under threat here?
...Ahhh, since you ask..
Pretty much all the human race.
All the time.
But maybe you meant something more specific.

Also, I'll note that Io is actually "racking up the points" on this thread - I counted at least 2 gracious responses to ribbing and at least 2 good zingers from her.
Effy wrote:Frosty, lets hope so, when are we seeing the pics? Does it really have to do with steeples?
Well, Effy, here's a picture of how a typical evil mastermind is supposed to steeple his fingers..
I offer this instruction because I think you need it in case you ever attempt to seek "evil mastermind" status.

Actually, I think you could gain a lot by copying the modern literary/film traditions for the stereotypical ways of doing "bad guy" things.
Because you're just not gonna succeed in coming up with off-the-wall creative stuff for your evil genius persona(e) on your own.
You really are best off trying to copy someone else.

Also, this was great:
Vraith wrote:"don't come here if you value your sanity?"...
Effy wrote:My what?
I might note that any juxtapositions of Vraith quotes with pictures of Montgomery Burns are entirely incidental.

Of course, it's a clever ruse meant to snare you into confessing your undying love and adoration of Edward Cullen! One day, when I have remarked enough upon certain matters, your unwitting reaction will be to start defending him and praising his beauty, that apotheosis of sparkly-warkliness...

I was picking on Frosty's word choice, it can be interpreted differently yet. See her reaction about the Urban Dictionary. And the gesture can be called a finger pyramid - if you want to avoid people finding some very unexpected interpretations - though I think I already found one for the finger pyramid as well, but quite a bit far-fetched one.

The scary part here is that I can quite easily do that - defend him and the like - after all, I haven't seen/read any Twilight, ain't I in a convenient position?

Well, my concern was about "triangulation"... one person going to another person to vent about a third person who they're frustrated with.

But notice that if I say, "I'm concerned that Iolanthe is going to turn into a drooling, slavering, ravenous monster reminiscent of Drool Rockworm if she continues to occasionally express her frustration about a friend of hers to a third party who doesn't even know that friend..."
...if I say that, Effy... I will be TRIANGULATING too!
So I'm in a bind.
I then become hypocrite, convicted of a crime by my own words.
...And plus I'd be triangulating incompetently too, because like.. Io can overhear me; this is the internet.
(Like my hyperbole, Io? )

D'oh! You're right... she said "standard Dark Lord gesticulation"..
I'd forgotten that! Sorry, Frostheart.

Oh yes, I do like a good hyperbole Linna.

What made me laugh so much is that my friend got very upset when I refused to go in her car because it stank, which is exactly the opposite of Vraith's comment, which I realise was not made in all seriousness. So, you see, I was not being too much of a hypocrite as I've already complained to her about it - although not about some of the other things I said as she is mentally very fragile.

Hummm.
I considered escalating this one, but your threat is actually rather credible and specific, sir.

Edit: Wait... I just realized that that threat was just for me 'coincidentally' attempting to associate you with "steeple-fingered triteness."
I just realized you said nothing about comebacks...

This is the only Twilight popular in my circles. Of course the sparklecrap's read in several languages, how else would we reach the anti-crowd in the nearby Äöåüland?? Also, four languages is for sissies. You clearly don't know your Finn facts, aside from some random scraps about womanly foreskins.

I officially and publicly bow down [this ONCE! don't anybody get to feeling uppity!] to Frosties last post.
The only shortcoming was it takes to long to follow everything...this is a button-pushing thread, not post-modernesque Wagnerian micropuscular deep analystic humour[us] dissection and reification.

Viking metal is post-modernesque Wagnerian micropus...whatnow? I thought it was mainly "GROAARRRRH skogens svaRRRRta möRRRRka djup MRAAAR" and entertaining enough for contemporary Nordic cavefolk, especially now that the remaining 5 hours of daylight* are too short a time to find polar bears in three meters of permasnow.

Wow. Just wow. I came in here expecting an insightful essay explaining how hurtful and cruel it is to poke fun at a person for the enjoyment of others. Instead, I find that not only do all of you think that is acceptable behavior, you actually treat it as some sort of internet game.

All of you disgust me, none so more than Effaeldm, for the post suggesting Twilight might have any redeeming value.

Hey, just cuz you're some Watch Infant, doesn't mean anyone will be nice to you...especially in this thread...so don't go thinking you're some l'enfant terrible when you're probably just l'enfant IGNORABLE.
I mean...Cozarkian???
what's that mean? So HAH! That's my ESSAY, and it didn't hurt me or cruelify me the slightest bit...
and SERIOUSLY [as essays must be] there's plenty of things more disgusting than Twilight, and Effe, [like folk who smell like "every species of animal butt." nudge nudge, wink, hammer in the skull]
